Hi all, can anyone help. I have just put an M44 engine onto throttle bodies and an Emerald programmable ECU. Does anyone have any base maps for the ignition timing to give me a starting point?

Single headlight conversion
Hi guys, just wondered if any of you had done a single headlamp conversion - if so what headlamp did you use so you had the side lamp, dipped and main beam in the same unit and any particualar mounting plate. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: DIY Coilovers
Hi guys, i converted both front and rear to coilovers using the rally design stuff, i use my E30 for rallying, spring rates are 280lb fronts, 14inch long - which are stiff, and 140 / 110lbs, 14 inch progressives on the rear, not too stiff but allow for excellent trackion both on tarmac and gravel

It works a treat but i have bent a track rod (not the trackrod end but the piece it screws onto to). I used BMW track rods / and ends, when i have looked into buying one they say...

Hello Tim, my name is Jon Finch, I am very interested in what you are doing - I currently rally an e30 318is which has had quite a few mods done to it, just bought a piggy back ecu unit from performance power to try to get more bhp that way (I hope!). they do fit onto the i.s. but you have to swap the ring gear around as the 325 one is slighty larger in diameter and the tooth pitch is slightly different hence the starter motor will not engage if they are not swapped.
hope this helps

does anyone know if it is possible to replace the air flow meter (a 318is) with a mass air flow meter and get the car to work. Reason for asking is i am trying to improve to air into the engine and know the the air flow meter is very restrictive. Already have big throttle body, mapped ecu etc
