I had an Onion Ghia back in 2001, paid £220 iirc. Had that noisy fuel computer and the speaker balance slider that looked like the deathstar. The handling was terrible.
Sold it around 2 months later, the next day I had a call from the police saying it was in a ditch somewhere in Cornwall.

Although the guy selling the Alpina rimz clearly thinks an e30 is comparable to a Ferrari 512.

Around 12 years ago I was selling m-tech 2 kits for around £600, mainly to Irish folk who had money at the time. The prices of this stuff hasn't changed drastically considering all that time and inflation.

Mental. I was in Marseielle yesterday and saw a mint Ren 21 Turbo. What's that worth? Not much but what a cracking old thing. The Mrs got a pic of it. They really aren't worth much which is a shame as they always had high praise in their day. Just as capable as a Sapphire Cosworth but about 10% che...

Old car prices. Silverstone auction madness.
Just got some updates from the Silverstone Auctions. A Mercedes 190 Evo 2 went for £299k, and a red Cecotto m3 with 125k miles went for about £44k! To put things into perspective a stunning Porsche 964 turbo with 60k went for around £60k and a Countach went for £218k. An old 190 Merc or a v12 classic?

'Only' around 800bhp. Nothing too mad, and relatively weak compared to a lot of the street cars over there. Back to the m5 on this thread. Does anyone think that it's the most epic estate ever made? Its just the noise and that engine. The newer brace of turbo charged wagons (m5,rs6,c/e63) are even a...

Plus the c2 doesn't look much different from a regular 325i. Would we care as much about the m3 if it didn't have those box arches etc. Same goes for the Escort Cosworth, would they command 20k plus price tag if they looked similar to £200 pounds worth of an L reg Ghia?

What about a e63 estate(the last one)? Probably find one for around the same price, and they are much prettier than the e60.
The even older w211 e55/e63 can be found for much cheaper and they still both have around 500bhp.

Disappointed at the add though. Was expecting a list of issues which were fixable by a fuse, with him not having the time to fix for being to busy.
