E30 Zone

would i be able to use my 325 head on a 2700 bottom end
from a 525e? are the engine mounts the same?

hi when im driving going up through the gears,i get to 3500 rpm then when you back of on the throttle ready to dip the clutch to change that split second before you hit the clutch i get a quick rattle/pink noise??? or if im in top just holding it about 3500 about 80-90 mph, i get same noise sort of ...

not really that bothered but i voted unlock

mines standard apart from filter,nice tight smooth ride,
enough speed for me 120-125

hi m8, yer that will need flatting down with 1500 wet&dry paper wet to feather out the edges of the laquer till cant be felt, then it will need blending back in with basecoat,ie;the colour, then relaquering.if you cut through the basecoat you will have to spot prime the area or it might pickle up ar...

dunno? it makes the noise while its turning over before it fires
then goes the instant it fires.

i get a fast whizzing noise when turning over to start the engine,
it fires and runs fine instantly just this noise, sounds like an electric motor spinning quickly,

no that is the going rate in a reasonable bodyshop where i work its about Ãƒ”šÃ‚£1500 for a respray plus fitting of kits would take it to about 2000 i used to do resprays for Ãƒ”šÃ‚£500 in my spare time as im a sprayer/panelbeater but dont have the facilitys to do large jobs anymore if you look arou...

hi m8 yer you figured right smaller wheel more off the spot acceleration
bigger radius wheel more top end speed something like that
so i think if you got a 15'' wheel you want 55 tyres and 17'' youd want 40s
to get the right radius

would a 535 throttle body fit on a 325 if so what gains would you get
and would i need to do anything else

prob might be getting worn aswell thou
done196000 had rockers adjusted several times now as well but i havnt
lost no power at all and no smoke either so prob could be something quite trivial, as bm engines are renowned to be bulletproof

yer its annoying, havnt lost any power thou
if i gently accelerate it dos'nt do it
i'll give plugs and stuff a clean and see what happens
i notice if i use tesco petrol it runs worse than esso or bp

is this down to mixture/timing being out, would a service prob cure it ie;plugs cap and arm ?just so annoying
