There is no remote central locking..

I've done the red black wiring mod by soldering and heat shrinking the 2 red black wires from the wiki page. Thinking that might solve the issue.. But no joy.. I'm planning on changing the suspension on my 318i (H reg) and not sure of the strut diameter..

I can't lock the drivers door with the key it just moans at me... I guess I could lock the drivers door and climb across and get out the passenger side and lock the rest manually..

Morning!!! When I locked my car lastnight after driving home from work the central locking didn't work! I can hear the module groaning in the drivers footwell but the drivers door won't lock! Is it possible to fix this module or will I need a new one? I'm a bit concerned as I have to leave my car in...

i am going to be fitting a complete set of new springs and dampers this weekend nd wanted to know how the front shock comes out of the upright...
is it just an interference fit?? will it require a large hammer and oil to get it out??

after having had much fun in the snow and not touching any curbs ect my steering had developed a wierd knocking noise. it only happens at certain amounts of lock in either direction.

i saw a touring at brands hatch last weekend, a 325i, that had a black trim along the sill. i know its not an m-tech trim, i just wanted to know what its called as i would'nt mind getting one for my touring.

+1 on the tourings.
its my only car, daily driver, and has a really reliabe m42. handles great and has carried my tool box with ease to every Britcar and carrera cup meet this year. its currently getting the paintwork sorted out so it look even nicer before it rots away over the winter

the panel filters are good as long as they are oiled properly and cleaned out from time to time.
i have used k+N panel filters on all of my road cars so far and have never experienced any problems.

me too! id recommend useing a k+n panel filter. that way you stick to a stock air box with cold air feed.
