Which oil should I use on a 95K Auto that's never been run hard, should I buy 5W30 or 5W40?
I think I have some 5W30 but will buy the other if I need to.
Thank you

There a reason you can't just take the PAS belt off?

Re: Doesn't wanna start

Old batteries used to last when stationary unused in a council garage connected up for around 5-6 month, one iv got no...

How does that connect to the fuel pressure regulator?
I thought you just plugged the fuel hose into it then got someone to turn the car over while you read it?

Re: Doesn't wanna start
Cleaned it and the pulley didn't seem to help.
What do I try next ?
Think I may invest in a pressure tester.
What pressure should I be running?
Thanks.

Re: Doesn't wanna start
Ok. I'll give it a clean anyway. It's at the front so is oil involved or can I remove it and clean it just to be safe? It sparks but I feel they're quite weak, sparks but not a nice bright spark, a sorts of a spark but quite dull What should I check when I go back out there? Bear in mind it's on my ...

Re: Doesn't wanna start
Yes the fuel pump works.
It squirted in my eye at pressure
But I'm not sure if it's the right pressure.
The car ran then I let it wait for around 3-6 months while I sorted myself out.
Then it wouldn't start again .

Re: Doesn't wanna start
Last time it wouldn't start after we built it, was because the FPR hose wasn't on.
When I refitted the hose it fired straight away.
Anyway iv got the stud and nuts now so I'll refit them when I get a chance.

But what about the fuel pressure regulator feed that comes off the throttle body?
Vaccum is needed I think and it wouldn't be getting the right suction I don't think.

Re: Doesn't wanna start
Also a stud and 2 nuts are missing from the lower throttle body mountings.
Would this be the vaccum for fuel regulator not working from not getting enough air sucked through it.
I say this as its right next to it. Or is this not helpful?

Re: Doesn't wanna start
Sorry about the wait, iv been on holiday for 6 weeks.
What Ino now is the car will run using carb cleaner down the plug holes.
Now I found the injectors don't seem to be firing.
Is there a way to get them to fire constantly while I check them?
What do you advise now?

Will this one work just to test them?
Dad unplugged the charger but left the cables attached which from memory will reverse and kill the battery?

Re:
So is it the same?
Will it work?
The guy at Shirley motor spares told me the black relay(original one) is a fused relay.
Im guessing the yellow one is too from what the picture shows.
But there's no switch symbol on the yellow one so I'm not really sure .
