89 325 Sport 185K almost a scrapper, major welding, major cash but she lives on!!

I have adjusted my tappets to specified limits, but car still sounds tappety. The car has done 182000 and is a 325I, could i tighten them done more and if so by how much? Thinking maybe because of engine wear?

Fixed that one, now water is coming out tiny hole in pipe from the thermostat housing to water pump. But looks down to worn engine mounts causing engine to move a little, allowing fan to catch pipe. But cheap easy fix according to haynes. Just time required.
