When the engine goes into limp mode it switches off the valvetronic and uses the throttle body to control the air into the engine instead of the valves. Try disconnecting the air mass meter and driving it,this will switch off the valvetronic system as well. If it drives better then the problem lies ...

Re: Where can I get E34 steering UJ/SwivelJoints? E46 rack s
You only need one e34 uj.
Take the top yoke off the top of the e30 shaft then remove the lower yoke that goes on the rack and join them together. Use the e34/e28 uj on the rack end and the one you've joined at the column end.it's a bit more work but saves using two e34 joints.

The repair loom I mentioned above has a new plug connector with gold plated pins to overcome the resitance fault.I wouldn't recommend bypassing the plug and soldering the wires as its not a bmw recommended repair. I did many of these in my time at the dealership and the repair was done with crimp co...

Might be worth checking the boot floor for cracks around the subframe mounts before you start ripping it apart.if it is cracked you may get it repaired by bmw under warranty.

1, seat belt pre tensioner loom is a common fault on these.a repair loom is available. Seat mat or the slip ring also fail. 2, I'm pretty sure they have bulbs in. 3, if you remove the radio there is a seriel number stamped on the side, I think it's 16 numbers.if you give the dealer this number they ...

A common fault on these is the boot loom where it comes out the body and into the boot lid.pull the grommets out of the boot and body and peel back the the covering and see if any wires are broken and shorting.

The loom that connects the flap motors is a bus loom, each flap motor is coded to a particular flap and they are connected in series out of the control unit and back again.

I doubt a M43 will fit as it has counter balance shafts which are housed in a unit with the oil pump at the back of the engine so a M40 sump won't fit.

Pre supply pumps, brake pipes corrode at the rear, broken rear coil springs, air bag faults, injectors, calipers sieze, radiators, thermostats abs faults etc etc.I could go on, however nothing you can't fix if you are handy with a toolkit. Personally if you don't do a lot of mileage I would go for a ...

In over thirty years in the motor trade I've only seen this once on a wolesely six.as Brian said above it's a fault in the valve block in the rack and a replacement rack is the only cure.

It might be worth checking the thin wire at the fan plug as I had one where it had corroded in the plug where it crimps to the connector. Looked ok from outside.

If there is gas in the system then check you are getting voltage to the compressor when you switch on the ac.if you are then the compressor or compressor clutch is probably at fault. Also make sure the auxilary fan is not siezed. Did the kwik fit fitter not check the system pressures when he regasse...

Might be worth checking the end float on the crankshaft, run the engine at idle and get someone to press the clutch in and out while you watch to see if the crank pulley moves in and out. During normal driving it may be ok but on a track day it might be enough to cause the belts to come off if there ...
