Yes I do have an O2 sensor, but no CAT .

Ant thanks for the reply mate, the last time I did ask you, have you taken in to consideration the O2 sensor when programming the ZONE CHIP you sent me. You said some thing now I cant remember well :mad:

So what shall I do?

Guys I just found out my car driven at constant speed of 80Mph for half an hour suddenly develops slight hesitation. When I slow down to 70Mph it runs fine. Could this be a fuel supply problem. My ride took an upgrade path from E30 320 1984 manual with Air Condition to what it is now E30 325i Auto a with 1989 engine, so is it possible originally it had a lower rating Alternator and now it is effecting.

Any idea how to check what rating my alternator is currently ?

I like my exhaust as quiet as possible, I was hoping I could make it even more quieter.

when I travel windows down at normal speed say 50Kms / hour I think the sound is pretty loud specially accelerating

If you guys say, BOYSEN is one of the best, then I take your suggestion

Hi all, Reacently I changed my complete exhaust system for E30 325i I installed a new BOYSEN centre box and a slightly used EARNST rear box. I installed the W8LCR in the engine today and took the car for a Kms 100 ride, and sure enough it works fine and I got my Fuel consumption back to normal.

Phew .. next time I will punch the fellow who tell me to change the spark plug to a different number

ok I am wrong, today we pin pointed the leaky spot, it is the O ring holding the fuel sender. Once replaced a new O ring now the leak there no more.

what puzzles me is, when no one is fiddling down there, how can the O ring perish :evil:

OK guys, I installed a new rubber hose at the connection between Fuel Filler Pipe and the Tank. Yes the old rubber looked little perished at the tank joint but overall it is still good. my 325i Auto is zone chipped and got a BBTB, I use it spirited driving in town, I get about 26mpg but drive more sober then I get about 28mpg in city driving. Long distance highway driving I beleive it is about 36mpg odd some thing. Simply fantastic. I use Fusch Synthetic 5-40W engine oil :cool:

i use to use 10w40 oil semi syn and i noticed the tappet sounded louder, now that i am using Fusch 5w40 synthetic my engine is running quiet. yes the engine is bit noisy until it is fully warmed.

Guys, Can the guru's here list the pros and cons in changing the stock exhaust manifold in a E30 325i car?
