That's good to know... I'm in Kent and will probably need some welding services in the not too distant future. How were his rates and did he provide/make up the repair sections?

Fragging my old moredoor and just wondering about a ball park figure I could expect weighing in the shell (minus engine, front wings and interior) at my local metal recycling plant?

Yeah, bushes would be a no brainer once the arms were off. Just need to keep an ear to the ground for some rear arms... At the right price!

The breather pipe from the rocker cover on an M42... Where is it meant to go to? My pipe was missing so have botched something with a very chav'y breather filter for now but was wondering what the intended route is meant to be?

Nice... I used headlamp yellow tint paint for mine. Gives an alright finish but comes in a nail varnish bottle so takes ages to apply with the tiny brush! Fades in time too; films are much better...

I was looking into doing this with the remains of my old 320! But with the boot section and have it trailer mounted but had to scrap the shell before I got the chance. Would be awesome.

Yep, had someone last week knock and ask and a few times before too. My girlfriends dad gets them knocking daily for his E38 too...

My 318i Lux had exactly the same stripe on it.

Would these fit on a facelift model without any faffing about or are they a different shape/bolt layout. Would obviously have to swap the bulb holders too...

My car has been sitting unloved out on the drive all winter. Got in it today and found the drivers footwell is absolutely soaked. Any thoughts on where this has come from?

As for the steering wheel it looks like a Sparco 345 which would typically be 350mm

I've heard that Vauxhall 15" steels should fit...

I used halfrauds primer and satin black spray on the scuttle vents, door handles, spoiler, rear numberplate surround and kidney grille. It's made a world of difference to the overall look, made the whole car look crisper...
