Re: Mobile Welder (Kent)

That's good to know... I'm in Kent and will probably need some welding services in the not too distant future. How were his rates and did he provide/make up the repair sections?

What's it worth at the weighbridge?

Apologies for the generic 'what's it worth' thread but:

Fragging my old moredoor and just wondering about a ball park figure I could expect weighing in the shell (minus engine, front wings and interior) at my local metal recycling plant?

A lesson in LSD ratios

I'm sure this has been discussed before so if someone wants to point me in the direction of a link then that'll be equally as appreciated as a reply. As its January I've got thinking to what I want to do with my E30 this year and one of the more long term additions once funds permit is hopefully goi...

Yeah, bushes would be a no brainer once the arms were off. Just need to keep an ear to the ground for some rear arms... At the right price!

Other than the cooling benefits of the vented discs is there much to be gained? Is it worth swapping I guess is my question?

Some braking advise

Looking at improving the braking on my 318 from 'hang on and hope you coast to a hault before you hit the object in front' to actually working. It's a 318i Lux so there's drums on the rear. My plan was to convert the rears to discs and run standard discs and pads there, then uprate the front with af...

318iS breather pipe

The breather pipe from the rocker cover on an M42... Where is it meant to go to? My pipe was missing so have botched something with a very chav'y breather filter for now but was wondering what the intended route is meant to be?

Nice... I used headlamp yellow tint paint for mine. Gives an alright finish but comes in a nail varnish bottle so takes ages to apply with the tiny brush! Fades in time too; films are much better...

I was looking into doing this with the remains of my old 320! But with the boot section and have it trailer mounted but had to scrap the shell before I got the chance. Would be awesome.
