An e30 rack mounts in front of the cross member but on the ix it has a completely different cross member. The rack on an ix is mounted behind the cross member hence doing a RHD conversion using E30 rack won't work. Just a note the ix cross member is made of aluminium so not easy welding new rack mou...

How comes?
Just been told that i have move my cars form the the garages i rent so have to bring the yanks home. Need space at home and now using 525ix as daily ride so no use for the 325ix

Doing a conversion into a normal e30 to an ix is going to need the floor pan modifying and also inner wing and strutt towers are different. Front suspension from an ix will NOT fit straight up into e30 without alot of work

I would start off with a 325ix first to make it easier. The 325ix has different front suspension geometry as i discovered when i was going to 4x4 my 320 touring.
I also have a 525ix with m50 engine and was going to put this in the 325ix but weather is too bad to play

SAE30 thanks alot for the info, at last i know what each wire is for... know have to work out how to mate it up to the e30 loom

Thanks jhonno i knew i'd seen a wiring diagram of some sort once, didn't relise it was m50.
Plug on this s50 has way too many wires :(

s50b30 wiring help needed

Hi everyone, anyone got a wiring diagram for the above?? I know i've seen it on here somewhere before but have spent 4 hours searching and can't find it!

I agree everything else fitted but when i tried the beam on my car the large beam bolts where about 10mm off each side.

The arms will fit but even though the beam looks similar that won't. Just swap the arms
