I assume you mean use the attachment which lets you screw the filter directly onto the block.
The down side to that is, I will not be able to rotate/hang the filter from the housing preventing my oil drain back problem,.

Re: oil pressure light slow to go out on 325
Thanks for all the replies. The oil light delay is definately related to the filter as a change in make has made the problem disappear. I always used gen BMW filters until i had this problem, i rang the BMW workshop manager and he said that he has also come across this problem more than once. From t...

oil pressure light slow to go out on 325
Hi all, I have noticed the oil light can be slow to go out on cold start up, with trial and error i found that certain makes of filter are responsible. I noticed that there was a big difference if the car was facing up hill or down or whether the car was hot when stopped or just warm. I put it down ...

Vertical play only on wishbone/ hub ball joint, bad ?
Hi all, a quick question before i spend a load of cash, i noticed that my E30 tourer front tyres were scrubbing again on the inside despite the tracking being done recently. I jacked the car up to check everything over, everything looks fine with no movement at the wheel/hub but with a pry bar again...

Re: Dodgy oil filters 325

Thanks for the replys, it's interesting that you have not had a problem with yours, what make of ...

exhaust cat removal
Hi all, i am removing the cat exhaust from my 1990 325 tourer and replacing it with a standard non-cat exhaust.I was going to weld a boss to one of the down pipes to re-fit the oxygen sensor but i have been told that there is no need because i can simply disconnect the sensor from the loom with no i...
