About to go and see a 320iS 4door auto..any tips??
Hi everyone, I am about to view a 320is 4 door auto rhd. I thought all 320is were lhd? What are the auto boxes like on these. I would prefere a manual but I am led to believe this car is rare (1206 made) so I ain't too worried about that. Can I put the manual box from my 325 touring on this engine? ...

Re: cracked head M20B25
pop another engine in dude. if in doubt, chuck it out is my motto. you can strip it later for useful spares. FYI some "wobble" is normal, and 125K is not high mileage for the M20 , seen 321K on an original engine, my touring had done 221K on its OEM donk before I pulled it for a high Cr replacement...

After taking the hine just now, i have discovered two cracks. On the second cylinder from the front there is a crack running from the intake valve seat to the cooling channel next to the cylinder. The other crack is exactly the same but on the 5th (from fron) cylinder. the pistons look charred and d...

Petrol worked best for us on waxoil. Apply with a paint brush, let it soak in a bit then wipe with cloth. Goggles and gloves essential and no fag breaks ;)

Yea the pedal feels like it did before it broke. What do you think a new fitted clutch should cost? I think the cylinder head/block has problems aswell, its using a bit of water and there's a tiny bit of white shite on the end of the dip-stick, white smoke from the pipe also... new engine with a clu...

Loads of steam from exhaust + needs water top up every month
Hi all, Since its been cold I have been having comical amounts of steam from my exhaust. I know its steam because it fogs up my rear window! M20B25 btw It is also really lumpy for a minute or two after cold start. It uses about 1 litre of water/month so I have come to the conclusion that water/conde...

whats the best way of changing the fluid? shall i just replace whats in the reservoir, wheels off the ground, left-right-left-right and repeat this 3-4 times? thats what i done last time (5 months ago) or should i flush the whole system? the gaitors on the steering rack are soft, should they be firm?

how to fit propper size tires on rear 9" borbets?
Hi, i bought these borbet A's (7" front 9" rear) and the came with daft stretched tires on them. I now need to change them but the stretch 215 tires rubbed the arch already (when car loaded heavy) so anything wider than 215 will rub more. has anyone had this same problem? is there any way around it ...

Eccentric trailing arm bushes info please
I've just received some genuine BMW eccentric trailing arm bushes for my 2.5 touring. I was recommended these because the car has 30mm drop. I've opened the box (for 1 side) and the 2 bushes seem identical. They've got markings on either end (numbers 1 to 8) circling the hole that the bolt goes thro...
