the manifold may be different. either that or it should come with an adapter plate to bolt it onto a standard manifold. as long as all the throttle linkage is complete it should be good to go. might be worth asking him to take note of any pipework for you to where it runs to extra. also the choke li...

All E30 M10 engined cars were a 1766cc ( 1.8 ) the 316 was the carburater model where as the 318i was the injected model. but both used the same 1766cc engine so it will bolt straight on and will not need rejetted

dont ruin it by fitting facelift bumpers.. as said a set of 15" bbs wheels and polished.. also the lip spoiler on the ebay link you posted is horrible.. Get underneath and clean up them brake pipes and rust treat the pipes and front and rear arches before rust takes hold and drive on. At 180k it is not worth a huge amount and is a pleasant tram. Unless you are buying new, any thing you buy is probably just as likely to bite you in the 4rse repair w...

could it also be possible that as the cone filters aren't highly regarded as a good mod that Steve has thought that everything was there due to the fact that he possibly would never go to the hassle of fitting one? hence what was there with it he thought it was complete.

the car has been lying 8 years and you say 3 out of 4 tyres are good!! given that the tyres are your only contact to the road I would be changing them.. they may well appear to look good but if its been sitting for 8 years without moving I wouldn't be willing to give it a chance.. as above though ch...

I would paint the full car as its red if its the original paintwork you'll never get it to look right.Topblag wrote:I'd say £1250, as there's probably £750 of bodyshop bills to come to rid the panels of rot and paint the O/S.
If you just paint the O/S it would stand out a mile. red is hard to get a match on.

youre saying that if its the valve stem seals you wont be best pleased.. the engine has sat for a year in your garage before you fitted it.. seals would have dried out in this time no matter if they were changed or not. I would check where the oil leaks are coming from and try and cure them. on the m42 engine the timing chain cover is guilty of leaking oil if its from there I would put a new chain and tensioner on also as I have seen the chains breaking.
