Re: JESUS!!! STEAM IN THE CABIN!
What Morat is saying above makes a lot of sense. What can often be the cause if ruptures in the cooling system is down to the incorrect pressure cap being fitted to the header tank, these were subject to a recall by BMW, which is why Miles was asking if you had the yellow 130 cap. Usually it is the...

IT will when you realise that you'll need the dash out to replace it. Sorry chap, but it's got to be done. On the upside, it's a great time to get that new speaker cable wired in, your instrument cluster checked for loose brass nuts and leaky batteries. If you've got an OBC you can swap the lightin...

Re: JESUS!!! STEAM IN THE CABIN!
Check your coolant cap. Does it have a yellow core with "130" written on it? If not, that is probably the cause so make sure you get a new one before you get back on the road. Under the Coolant Cap is written "Reutuer", there are some numbers along the rim but nothing that say "130" as you've descr...

Re: E30 3:46 DIFF WANTED!
What you are looking for is a medium case diff with a more suitable ratio, your 3.64 will be a medium case one and this is a popular ratio so will sell on to fund it's replacement. Similar diffs can be found under some E28's,but you will need to swap the output flanges and possibly the back plate as...

E30 3:46 DIFF WANTED!
Hey guys,
I'm looking for a 3:46 Diff for my E30. It has a E34 535i engine in it. If any of you have one or can make any suggestions cause the current 3:64 is way tooo revvy which I am not a fan of.
Thanks in advance.

For the sunroof and windows, check that fuse 11 is intact. The locking and windows are likely to be corrosion in the plug and socket in the A pillar where the door loom plugs in. Many 320i and 325i's had the 3.64 diff as standard. This Wiki guide gives some pointers.

best diff ratio i had on mine was 3.46, went like a rocket and wasn't bad for top end either. 3.64 is a bit of a compromise.
