Re: m30 clutch and flywheel recommendations.
I am unsure of the clutch in it. I would assume it is a sprung one. The clutch engages fairly smoothly. Its just the weight of flywheel that is an issue. Very little throttle and the engine picks up to high revs very quickly and because only a small amount of throttle is applied it stalls easily.

Re: 16x8 wheels tyre choices?
Dont want stretched tyres. Only reason i am thinking of going narrower and smaller profile on front is for clearance. I had 205 55 15 on the front and they caught inner arch on full lock.? I know a lot of people run 9jsdown on the rear but they are always on stretched tyres wasn't 100%there the 225 ...

16x8 wheels tyre choices?
thinkin of getting some 16x8 et20 wheels. what is offset of standard bbs? thinking ofgoing 215/40/16 on the front and 225/45/16 on the rear as this gives me the closest rolling diameter to what is on there at the moment. will I have any clearence issues with these sizes? car is tourer on a 30mm drop?

Car is a 325 tourer. So far it has only bin used on the road.. but I live in the isle of man and there are no speed limits. Brakes are ok most the time but going over the mountain road they get absolutely cooked ontthe descent. Is it worth going up to a 16"wheels wheel to get slightly bigger brakes?...

What brake upgrades are you running. I have standard brakes with ebc redstuff pads and ebc discs but I keep cooking them. How good is the rx7 calliper with corrado disks? Does it mess up the bias between front and rear of car? Some of the kits (s3 willwood etc) look good but dunno if my budget can s...

Re: m52 vs m30
I've only been in an m30 powered e30. Feels pretty good but would like to weigh up my options. Light Ally block modern engine does sound appealing. But how does it compare to the torque of the m30?

I currently have an 88 325 Tourer. Just blown head gasket and instead of fixing I am thinking of doing a conversion. But I am undecided what is best for me. What difference does dot 5.1 fluid make. What is standard? Id not thought about the pads being harsh on discs but dont mind replacing them a little more frequently. mine would definitely not go in. I put a little chamfer on edge to help line up and slide in easier. when I lined them up ready to press in I could see light between two opposite sides and fouled a bit too much to risk forcing it in on the other 2 edges. not had a chance to measure it yet but it was...

Cheers for the replies. Got the diff fitted and locks up really good but had troubles trying to fit z3m bush. It is slightly ovalised. Has anyone fitted one of these bushes with no issues? Had to stick with the polybush, I have heard complaints about these but I'll Have to stick with wit for now.

quick lsd question backplates interchangable?
changing my open diff to lsd tomorrow. are the backplates interchangable? the backplate on the open has a polybush in it and will be easier to take this bush out to replace with z3m bush than removing original e30 bush from lsd backplate.
