Snapped bleed screw on radiator?
iv managed to break the blled screw on the radiator. its snapped on the end and wont screw in now...
i couldnt see more as it was getting dark!
is it normally a new radiator job? or maybe fish that part out and get a new screw?
any help would be good

when you say bleed it properly, how do you mean?
the only way i can bleed it is through the bung on to of the radiator next to the cap, because the bleed screw in the housing on the engine is seized solid!
i have done a pressure test for head gasket and the results seemed tidy.

since iv bought the car, its been very very sluggish and hard to drive when started in the mornings. this lasts for a matter of minutes until the cars warm. then its fine. okay well i will start looking for a new fan then.. any ideas where to get one from?
someone suggested welding the viscous fan solid??? surely it would cause the engine to run way to cold wouldnt it?

im not sure whats up with my bmw, driving it day to day i doint have a problem, the temp gauge sits nicely @ the 1/4 mark but when i stop and sit in traffic ect... the temp rises up quite slowly and when its reaches the 1/2 mark on temp gauge it starts chucking water out of the radiator / cap area. ...

speedo isnt working on my 318. is this a common problem on e30's? as my old 320 didnt work either.
Any advice as to where i should start looking for my prob?
iv check the plug in the diff, and the plug is stuck in the diff, i dont want to try to hard as itl break.

well its not hitting a limiter you see. its just getting to approx 5500 and spluttering.

E30 318 lux rev limiter?
i have bought a E30 318lux 1991. when it gets to around 55000rpm / 6000rpm it misses and splutters. where is the limiter set on these? i have changed plugs and leads. one of the leads has to be pushed through a pickup ring? what is that as that has a crack init, Would that cause my problem? right hopefully itll be here tomorrow, can anyone give me some advice as to where the easiest place to turn the engine oiver byhand is. also advice on setting the valve clearances up and the gap size

yup it has! thanks. one thing though i had to slide number 1 rocker aside to help me slide the rocker bar down... adjuster eccentrics-----how do i set these back up when im fitting it back together, also..... anyone know where i can buy a rocker arm from? this is only a car in using as a run around ...

hmm so it sound an easyish job, but all them names have confused me lol, would you have a diagram naming all the parts. i kind of get you but unsure about this locating plate? sounds like a couple of hours work at the most.

hi iv managed to break a rocker arm, are they hard to change? its the one closest to the radiator on the exhaust side.could some one give me a guide if its any easy job
