Looking great Alex! Your comfort seats are so clean but I love your plan of M3 front and rear seats. That's always something I've wanted to do... except with recaro front! And if you're ever curious about how to complete your e34 toolkit, this is what my Dad's kit I completed for his Chris...

Mate it's a forum full of people that have the same intrest and you will be unlikley to ever meet anyway, so take it with a pinch of salt. But personllay I would stop what you are doing conversion wise and look through all the build thread's and copy what is proven to work. There is at least one co...

I wish you hadn't have posted this here... I like how on the zone everyone is helpful and respectful of each other so I usually post here instead of R3V. Hopefully this doesn't give you the reputation R3V has given me... Everyone will see the finished result once it's finished within the next couple...

Pic Request: Calling Alpina B6 owners
Anybody who owns an Alpina B6 2.8, B6 3.5, or B6 3.5S, I need your help. I need a picture of the drivers and passenger side motor mounts sitting in your car. I need to see what Alpina's M30 motor mounts looked like. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I don't think front mtech springs from a four pot iS are going to be very happy with a M30 boat anchor sitting on them! Right, that's what I was figuring. So you think the Mtech springs for a 6pot with Bilstein B6s will sit well enough? I don't want a slammed e30, I want a respectable ride height n...

Mtech Springs
Got a question for everyone here, are the Mtech springs on the tech 1 sports the same as the Mtech springs on the tech 2 sports? I've got a m30b34 swapped e30 with a tech 1 kit and I'm going change my suspension from that of a stock 318i. If I understand correctly, the tech 1 sports had Bilstein b6 ...

Re:
The only thing I can find in my wiring diagrams that utilises a blue/black wire in that vicinity is a relay that is energised by the A/C compressor to prevent the fuel shutoff on overrun. Like Brian, I have not seen a candy-striped wire in an e30 before!! (black/white wire) Very strange... well I a...

Yes I just checked one more time to verify. It's 2 Blue w/ black striped wired going into the square plug, then on the other plug that plugs into the blue/black plug is the black/white striped wire.willnz wrote:Is the wire colour definitely blue with a black stripe?

This is where heated washer jets plug in, (and headlamp wash/wipers) but this doesn't look like those looms. The purple/black is a first ignition switch position switched, fused 12 volts + , and could be used by BMW for anything they chose. I don't recognise any of these wires, in fact I've never s...

Re: What is this wire?
Something to do with aircon possibly, what is the red wire? Where do the blue wires from the other side of the plug go? Ignore the red wire, thats the PO's attempt to wire in city lights. The black/white wire goes through the square plug into two blue wires which I can't tell where they go because ...

Re: What is this wire?
I can't see the pic as i'm on a work pc, but from your discription and iirc this is the wire for the map light mirror. Have you done a power test to see if and when it goes live. It looks similar to the maplight mirror plug, but it's not. My car was povo spec meaning it was a base model. I had to r...

Re:
With non-central locking cars you got the plastic cap with lock as standard, and it used the same key as the the door, ignition etc.... However, you could spec an optional extra to have a cap, with a different, smaller key than the rest of the lock set. This I have a picture of in my optional extra...

Locking Petrol Cap
I've got a question that after hours of searching I still haven't found an answer to. For those of you who don't know, early e30s that didn't have central locking which locks the petrol door, had a locking gas cap. The original locking petrol cap for the e30 was chrome. It has now been replaced by a...

I've just been informed after some research, that the one I just bought is similar to the ebay one, but the one I just bought has more of an oval shaped tube going across.
