Might be worth keeping it up out of the actual spare wheel hole, if you have the misforture to crash the car ass first into something solid there's not a lot of room for the wheel well to deform without squeezing and bursting a fuel cell. Anywhere on the boot floor should be safe enough though. How...

stappin i'm only refering to the rear here but from what i can see of it the bearing slots into the trailing arm and is stopped by a 2 or 3mm lip to stop it falling out the back. So after a few tight corners the wheel would move in from it's centerline as the bearing slid through the hole, or worse...

Personally I'd use a vice and plenty of violence.

I used a workmate to hold it and then cut a slot at an angle in the offending item then wedged a large screw driver in the slot and erm tapped it with a medium sized walloping device. Worked a treat

A coilover will fit into the original fixings fine, I am using a modified top mount which has all the rubber taken out and a rose joint put in. I used 12" springs and found they are too long so the adjusters are at full extent! I used 280lb springs as i said they are too hard! think 200s 6 or 8" would have been a better choice. I've been thinking of running 200-220lb springs on the front and 140-160lb springs on the rear what ones did you go for that were too hard? My mates mkII uses 300lb when on tarmac and 200lb on gravel.
