I know thats the case for the front - because of the struts, but will the rear ones not just be the same?

Suspension advice help please!

Hi All, Ok so I know there is a difference in suspension between the 4 cylinder, 6 cylinder and touring and cab. I think I am right in saying that the 318IS and the 325 Sport both had Mtech suspension which was around 15mm lower. The question is are the rear springs the same on the IS as they are on...

Thanks again for your help everyone. Unfortunately I cant take you up on that passenger ride Rob, I'm in Oxford, so a bit too far to come. I am tempted to have that setup off you Richard, but I think from what people have said about cheap suspension kits it might be as well to buy new and get the wa...

Thanks chaps, thats really useful. From what I have read I think I am going to give the Jamex and the Gmax kits a miss. I basically just want a better setup than I have at the moment, which is standard dampers with some unknown very low springs. I think I am going to opt for the Spax VSX or the Apex...

Thanks Rob - very useful. Motorsport World want £331 for the PSX kit. A bit more than I wanted to spend really, but they do have the VSX kit (non adjustable) for £222. Its a bit closer to the £176 of the Jamex kit. Really I just want a good value upgrade, do you bother adjusting yours much Rob? Wher...

Dead Fuel Pump

Hi All, I took the 325 on its first track day yesterday - it was a bit wet and icy in the morning so i spent a lot of time in the grass (rubbish tyres) However it all dried out by the lunch break and was A LOT faster in the afternoon. Until the fuel pump died that is! So I'm now consideirng the opti...

Basically from cold its fine and then when it reaches running temperature you get blue smoke on hard acceleration. So to me that sounds like rings, going to do a com...

Firing on all 6 again :D It is however still overfueling. Big clouds of smoke when booting it. The wiring to the ECU temp sender seems ok so...

Only firing on 3 cylinders

Hi all, I have a 1988 325i and its only running on 3 cylinders. It appears to be running on 1,3 and 5. There is a strong smell of fuel and lots of unburnt fuel going out the exhaust. There is a spark. I have replaced the DIzzy cap and rotor arm anyway as they both looked in need of replacing. I swap...
