Looking mega. My iS always sat a little high at the front. Never thought of combining the spring options to level it out. Looks good for it.

Re: Poppy the Brilliant red 318iS
So last year I was told one of the inner joints had play and put off doing it, for no reason other than being lazy. I found some old arms stashed away that were original bmw ones so I stripped them (my god it took some pressure to get the old ones out), blasted and had them powder coated. I then reb...

Sounds like the linkage has been able to pop out. Perhaps a clip wasn't seated properly. Sure it'll be very quick to fix.

You’ll be extremely lucky there dude. The Fritzsbits stainless system is the only new item out there. With these cars being 35 years old now and with no other ‘standard’ aftermarket options available for many years, most are in the same boat as yours will be

Re: Lazur Blau 316i - M52 Swap
Was there much rodent damage anywhere else? Tyre wise, I have 195/50/15 Michelin PS3's on my 318iS. They're lower profile than the recommended 205/55/15's so I am having to change my diff ratio to bring the revs down, but they are very good and sit nicely with the car on Eibach springs. I also have ...

Re: My first foray with a cabriolet
Cheers dude. She's a really great car to be fair. I think the previous owner kept getting ridiculous bills from garages (judging by the clutch saga). They'd had the si batteries 'replaced' by someone and they did a crap job of it as when I took it apart, they just fell off the board. They had lost a...

Re: Project Frankenstein. . { 320i auto to 335i manual }
I bought an intake book for my car from Cotswold, it lasted less than a year before it split. Sadly I noticed too late and I doubt they'd have done anything about it anyway (no disrepect to them I'm just assuming). I think a radio with a pop put screen is truely 90's mod. Very in period in that resp...

As above, they should all be off except the brake check light which should go off when you press the brake pedal (and all is well with the brake lights

BMW aren't forging their own from gold and rainbows in a foundry run by mega babe 21 year old virgins. While I'm not certain who does produce the OEM product, it will be Bosch, Brembo or Pagid. A unit from any of these brands, purchased from a reputable outlet will be just fine.

I can't say I've ever experienced th B4/Eibach combo or the B12 kit (same springs with a B8 damper) being too stiff on the road neither have the countless peoples cars I've fitted them to.

Re: Facebook group gone?
Sometimes with the tripe on those groups the low traffic isn’t a bad thing however it is a shame people just don’t put the effort in anymore with forum posts. It’s often too much like hard work to upload photos and have the manual write about something. With that though is a huge loss of information...

Over Christmas I mamaged to slink out and do some bits on her. I changed the brakes and put the 15 BBS on her. There was a classic car meet locally so took her out to that. The fan blower stopped working which made for a chilly drive  https://i.ibb.co/kMvqJbt/IMG-6641.jpg https://i.ibb.co/5RpjG...

Thank you. I assume its the rear bush thats the most expensive item. Would you be so kind as to do me a breakdown of the cost?
I'm also after:
36 136 758 569 x8
31 21 1 130 125 x8
Again if they could be itemised that would be grand

Two years slightly overdue checking in here. Not a great deal to say other than she didn’t get much use in 2023. I had a few days out. Local classic car tour, back and forth to work in the summer and trips down to Wiltshire to see my parents. https://i.ibb.co/YW6FZFz/IMG-8370.jpg https://i.ibb.co/pJ...

I can reveal she’s actually brilliant red, conveniently the same colour as my 318iS fleet. Only one colour code to remember 8) I got the tyres fitted to my refurbished wheels today and the new brakes arrived. I bought the tyres while at Le Mans this year, so happened they were much cheaper on the co...
