It's an incredibly complicated mathematical formula where you take the quoted figure for horsepower and divide it by the cubic capacity. E.g 171/2.5=68.4 Right i'm lost.... how  Fair enough, just never heard of bhp/l before, so was intruiged! It's actually pretty simple. A very good measure o...

i weld a washer tyo the broken stud first to get a good weld and you can see better so as not to weld stud to hole. thenb weld big nut to washer. easy outs are good as long as the bolt isnt seized in.

Re: Machine Shop Mistake

i know its to late now but when i have to remove snapped exhaust studs from an engine i drill through the centre of the stud so it releaves a bit of pressure from the threads and then weld a nut to the stud and they normally come out eventually.

ive been in a genuine 600 + bhp cosworth that achieved 190 mph at brunters and that doesnt wheelspin to 160 mph. as said the e30 is fast and has loads of power but something is a miss. the wheels are not spinning at 160 + mph no way imo.

i think an lsd is essential for better traction

it is, a good 325i with no slipper will spin its arse of in the wet. and if it doesnt its not running properly.
