Re: Just bought a Touring, must do mods?!

Sumpcracker, that is a beauty! :notworthy: I've recently picked up a clean 325i touring in diamond black with nice BBS wheels. Spent last weekend spraying grills black and rear lights red. I left the reverse lights white but looking at yours, they might have to come off again soon! Have you got any ...

I have a 325i touring auto with genuine 80k in desperate need of lowering. I'm not sure whether to go for springs only or change the shocks and springs? has anyone tried these before? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-3-Series-E30-325i-Touring-Lowering-Suspension-Kit_W0QQitemZ110398678203QQcmdZViewItemQQptZ...

Re: M30 irratic idle and overheating, HELP!

no white gunk in the engine, water pump was replaced few thousand miles ago, heaters not working at all at the moment (was a blown fuse, replaced it but still didn't work), will have another look at heater. Pretty sure I bled out the aorlocks. So all it reallt leaves is the viscous and thermostat. S...

Re: Bought a E32 1991 730i SE for charity roadtrip. Need hel

I've checked all the above mentioned. It seems steady on start up but then starts pulsing after a short while of running. That's exactly the problem I had, v. annoying in an auto! I think it's showing up once the ecu has switched to a 'normal' idle, after a faster/enriched one at start up. Other th...

Re: M30 irratic idle and overheating, HELP!

Havn't checked TBH :o:
The fan was kicking in and pressure was building up, it all seemed fine when the car was stationary and engine was running. It's only when i took it for a drive a couple of days later, temp seems to creep up very quickly.

M30 irratic idle and overheating, HELP!

Hi Guys, I bought a 1991 730i SE which is to be used to do a 1500 mile roadtrip through Europe to raise money for UNICEF, the children's charity. The car's been SORN for the last 5 years so needs a bit of work. I've given it a full service, oil, filters, plugs, etc. but it seems to rev up and down b...

Re: Manual to Auto gearbox

Hi guys, thanks for all of the info and offers but I think it's going to be a lot more hassle than it's really worth. I'm just gonna be patient and hold out for one that came out of the factory with an auto box. My E30 search has been put on hold for a few weeks as I discovered over the weekend that...

Re: Manual to Auto gearbox

Hi Robbo, If it's simple enough to convert from manual to auto and I find a car within the next few weeks, I'll take you up on that offer. Just out of interest, how much you looking for?? Are all the parts required for the conversion included or is it simply just the box?? What sort of mileage has i...

Re: Manual to Auto gearbox

I'm assuming switchable refers to an older version of tiptronic sort of thing?? If so, I'm not really too bothered about switchable, an ordinary box will do. It's more for lazy driving, as I have a Mitsi Evo for performance. Is the box in a saloon or coupe any different to the convertible?? Is it re...

Manual to Auto gearbox

Sorry if this is one of those threads that comes up often but I can only find threads asking how difficult it is to convert a auto box to manual. However, I would like to know how difficult it would be to convert a manual box to auto?? I'm looking for an auto 325i convertible but all the ones I come...
