To be honest I did not check if the back plates were touching the discs or not! That will be my first port of call.

Is there anything in particular I should be looking at if I completely remove the diff? I have not checked the oil since buying it last month so will definitely do this.

Hi all,

my 318i auto has stopped engaging the 4th gear which is a pain as i do quite a lot of motorway driving.

Oil level is fine but could do with a change soon. Something to do with a cable maybe? Any help would be great!

Looks like it may be the rack! which I am gutted about and from the sound of the pump it looks like i will have to get another of those 2. My poor old wallet!

i took my e30 up to the lake district earlier this year! your roads are so fun! 600miles there and back, did about 700 in total, car didn't miss a beat either!

My daily driver is a 316i, I get about 28mpg and thats doing about 8 miles a day to and from work

Both on the road but one's going up for sale in the next few days

It could do with a new roof so thats next, not really got much else planned, thought about dropping a 2.5 lump in it if the auto box gets annoying

My near side headlight does not work, i just bought a new bulb for it which made no difference and i have checked the wiring to the light and it all looks good. It worked fine about a week ago and just randomly stopped working. Ive even checked the wiring with one of them screwdrivers that lights up...
