Any oil leaks? I had sump gasket leaking into the bell housing and contaminated the clutch.

Take the pump out of the tank there is a 1 way valve that is after the pump and connects to the hard line. Make sure you split the difference where it pushes on. You sound like your loosing pressure in certain conditions. I had this on a 325i it would only ever start on 2nd turn of the key. Also I'm...

Fitted 325 mild chip other day.
Happy with it. Still doing 1st economy trial but results looking favourable.
Also got great help in identifying the chip that came out of the ecu.

was going to do water pump timing belt sump gasket and the oil seals on the crank and gearbox along with clutch and flywheel since engine is sitting on the deck.

Can the post and pre facelift issue be solved by fitting the water pump that is car specific? Im considering 1989m20b25 into 1987m20b20 but dont really want to have to move the expansion tank to the other side. Gasket numbers are the same so not sure if there is any other issues. kind of on the same lines. my wipers stopped working on fri eve when thanfully i was only washing my windscreen and it wasnt raining. spent an hour on sat and managed to find the problem (wiper stalk) changed this and all working except for the washing function. need the correct stalk now all I can ...

I can be around that end of the country but it might be a few weeks. normally involves a run to the airport. any excuse to get the 325 out on the road!

On the look out for set of 15" bbs if anyone would like to offer some for sale!
just spent a ball of money on getting the rear arches and quaters sorted so the mud flaps will stay for another while

that does explain the running its just not right at cruising speed and would explain some of the carbon on the plugs.
need to try to get my sensor back on but not shelling out £75 for new ht leads! was thinking cut the sensor and resolder in on the lead. I no heat on ht wont go well

ok back to the magnetic pick up. this should just be a pulse sensor that works by the induction from the spark plug lead.
this is a continuous band of metal in a plastic case. is this a certain type of metal or is it magnetised?

i have powerflow back box and centre section. initially i thought it was too loud on my 325 but when it gets into the high revs its so addictive.
just keep the window up and the radio up on the motoray!

how common are these seats. Im thinking it is very common.
has it gone 2 far for a retrim? I havent looked into the retrim yet. It has to be the entire seat though as all the material is badly worn

Have changed the indicators to clear front and side not quite sure on them yet but will post it up again. Have put on the spare a 15" bbs original. liking it alot might look about the full set. it also looks alot higher in the pic than it actually is! Interior not as tidy though http://i376.photobuc...

Best 1of the whole lot is the private road that runs across the top of the mountain at quinns windmills. Fermanagh cavan border.
It hosted its own 1day rally back in the day was the year before circuit of ire came back on i think!

id go for the main live feed personally. however if no lights come on the scum might catch on to this. Although they generally arent that intelligent. Ive was working on a non-starting astra once and they tried to hotwire it even though they keys were in it and the bat was out!

I did this but this left me with the cylinder problems. have tried other plugs as i 1st though that 1 was faulty. just dont seem to be making the right condition when cap is off. just that the problem arose after i changed the plugs.

I initially changed the plugs as was just doing a service. When I put in the new plugs I could not put on the tops of the plugs the part that makes the connection. This then left me with a car that seemed underpower and had a hessitation around 2k revs esp when at 50mph in 5th. Decided to change lea...

So its only for diagnostics. And I can have my motor running sweet again!
