Re: 335i 'shabby' project
Mark, i think i remember your car. I was busy that day and didnt actually get much time to drift myself. I believe 3.5 is the best option. When are you at another DWYB?? I'll come and say Hi and jump in with you if you like. James, Yep LOL. Relaxed is the key, never get flustered or you'll make erro...

Re: 335i 'shabby' project
Weeeeeeeeeeey, 2 people understand why i'm using a cabby.......... for the comedy factor!! As you've probably all gathered, i don't really worry about what people think, i like cars, thats it, i modify them to how i feel necessary using parts i decide to use. Re: 335i 'shabby' project
HAHA, Yep, 4dr Skyline, In my opinion it is a way better chassis than a 2dr, you just get a small amount of flex even with a rollcage. I personally think they look better over the 2dr and i like to be different. Chris, I've been drifting for nearly 3 years but been going sideways for 17 years LOL, I...

Re: 335i 'shabby' project
Possibly fella, It's only ever been to the pod on one occasion. At the BMW show i was in a white 4dr 325, it had a black front Mtec 2 replica bumper on it. I do understand what your saying about the use of the cab, but i am restoring it along the way. It will have a full respray in the stock colour,...

335i 'shabby' project
Hey folks, After owning a fair few E30's many moons ago and after using a mates 325i in the drift arena at the BMW show at Santa pod this year, i just had to buy another one. I was actually after a touring, but i stumbled on a 1988 320i Convertible. It has a 2.5 in there already which was a bonus. H...

Re: Where to sell my 325i?
I just paid under £500 for a 325i manual cabby, 120k, with 6 months mot and 5 months tax, only needs a bit of paint work, there is no rust and the roof is pretty good.
£1600 is S reg E36 with MOT money fella.

Re: New cabby owner
It wont actually be an out and out drift car, more just for having the odd slide when i go to drift days as a spectator/tutor, i do a lot of tutoring so it's nice just to get in your own car and have some fun LOL. I'm so used to driving cars daily with welded diffs, it doesn't worry me that it'll be...

Re: New cabby owner
Cheers again for the welcome, Gooner, I am actually considering Satin black, but it's been done on quite a fair few cars now, i am thinking maybe a dark gold colour, even metallic brown. I like to do things slightly different from the rest. Here is the only pic of the cabby for now......... http://i...

Re: New cabby owner
Drift cabby, well, sort of.
It will as i say, have a 3.5 conversion, stiffer suspension and a diff of somekind, weither welded or LSD. So, it will be ok for drifting, obviously some chassis work will need to be done, but it won't be for competition use, i have a dirty Nissan R32 for that.

New cabby owner
Hey folks, I've had a couple of E30's some time ago, but after using a 325i for drifting at the BMW show at Santa pod the other weekend (white 4dr, black front bumper), i've decided to get another. I was actually on the look out for a touring, but a cabby came up at a very good price. After having a...
