ok, you don't really need to reinforce the crossmember but if you want to then why not. i have lowered my crossmember and reinforced it as i wanted my M60 sitting lower (preference) if you look further than the wiki on the auto prop option and i would of thought fabed mounts will be a must as the au...

Re: My M62B44 build

Im quite confused, so are you wanting to go for the megasquirt loom and standalone? personally id keep the original loom and ECU (if your going to keep it N/A) and modify it. theres lots of literature on the inter mc web. you'll save a bucket load of cash and it will work to your needs. the EWS you ...

Re: Difference in crank and Conrod bearings

from what iv found so far after hours of searching, the crank should be marked with a colour dot which denotes the colour of shell/bearing which needs to be used. I need to confirm this though. these are what my bearings look like, what do you recon? http://i657.photobucket.com/albums/uu297/stiben/I...

Yea he's still building the set with anti lag (god knows why you'd need it in a e30)
Need to get mine finished sharpish.
I suspect that I am going to get valve float with the standard valve springs so I'm now looking for a good heavier equivalent.

Re: V8 swap that doesn`t need relocating brake booster?

You can insure a V8 powered e30 I think my quote was £230 fully comp. you can also MOT it and I'm sure all you have to do is update the V5 (if you want to) by ringing the dreaded DVLA cock jockeys and asking them to update the licence. Then they will probably up your road tax because they can! Might...

Re: m50 turbo oil return

Iv seen that be done before but just remember the drain needs to be lower than the turbo otherwise you will get a oil failure,
For a oil feed I'd go for AN-4. Usually there's a oil restricter on the turbo oil feed line anyway

what turbo have you gone for?
I'm welding two AN10 fittings into my sump above the oil level for my drains from the turbos.
AN4 to supply them and AN10 for oil return to the sump

in a perfect situation you really need to make the oil drain lower than the turbo itself so its easier for the oil to gravity drain back to the sump if that makes sense?
