M40 exhaust

Hi all, just on the off chance has anyone ran a 318 without rear box, ie. straight through system with standard centre box. This would be used for track use ive heard rear box makes no difference as standard centre has a cone baffle. Any opinions appreciated.

The engine is a 1989 318i, on the throttle body there are two vacum pipe nipples, one pipe is on there which goes to a black vacum pot and on the otherside there is a short pipe with a screw in then end! im...

hi

I have rebuilt 318i engine to race spec for a series this season. I would like to reset the milege odometre so i can tell how many miles the engine has done in between builds. Does anyone know how to do this, ie clocking it etc?

Thanks brian for your response, also experiencing problems with dash and heater system as i have a front dash bar as part of the cage and cannot fit dash with associated plastic funneling attached, any experience of this?

Any help appreciated, have recently had the car resprayed currently re-fitting rear windows (its a coupe) thye metal window surround is meant to push in between the window seal but i cant for the life of me get it to locate in the channel. Has anyone done the rear coilover spring conversion ie welding coilover sleeve on rear trailing arm and ran 2 1/4 springs with adjustable damper. I have debated whether to do this and intruiged to see peoples opinions and if possible some photos of the setup.

thanks for the replys i have it mounted in the other holes i guess it must all be ok, just didnt seem right to me the end of the tie rod would be touching the brake disc backing plate.

Thanks Clarko, had a look on real OEM i need the inner outer of the arch if that makes sense, the arch is made from two sections. I have been phoning round to find one nobody seem to stocks them, Ive tried ECP, they dont, any other suggestions where i can get hold of one?
