M30 - Crank Position Sensor

My car is a 1989 E32 735i - Does it have the above sensor? What does it look like? Where exactly is it located? I'm wondering if my continued rough running is being caused by a slightly dirty CPS. I read a few posts on the M30 engine issue section here or the 5 series forum where some chap cleaned h...

Fog Light Woes

Okay, an issue i'd love some assistance with. I've retro-fitted sets of foglights onto pre and post facelift E30's and never had a problem in the past. My 1988 316 facelift is different however! I fitted the fogs with new bulbs, fitted them on the car, plugged them in, fitted the correct relay, fitt...

ECP do original Hella pre-facelift fogs for £40 a side.
Least they did do about 2 years ago.

Based in Wales and have supplied both my M10 conversion - Think it was about £270-280 for the Webcon kit made for the E30 316, best money i've spent on a car.

Annoying eh! Same thing happened to me about 2 months ago. When I asked if they were looking to set up a similar situation with another reputable damper producer, he said that something was in the pipeline......... Really was a great wee deal - managed to take advantage of it to the tune of 4 sets -...

Re: horrible clunking sound from rear...

Rear subframe bushes sound like the culprit - These require a special tool to get out (or a lot of pain, anguish, utter frustration and bloody fingers). IMHO tis best to buy the original bushes from BMW and get a BMW specialist to replace (mine cost £120 all in to get them done).

I think that you're better doing it this way - especially if you are mechanically incompetent and have no mates that know old cars inside out (Like me) - Buying the carb new and getting it fitted professionally means that your are much more unlikely to have problems in the future - You just have to ...

Re: m10 carburettor

I changed my 316's Pierburg 2BE carb (the one you currently have) for a direct replacement weber - This was a manual choke one and fitted straight in from the box - I bought a brand new one for approx £230 and spent £40 in labour getting it fitted by a BMW specialist up here. The difference in the c...

it will probably excape Copart and go to their sister operation U-Pull It in Inverkeathing, which is even better news for the frag followers as buying bits off that car will cost buttons. There's no way Copart will pay your insurers £650 for it, more like £150 Glad to hear you got a good settlement...

I'd certainly hand over the history and associated bumf for postage costs (despite the insurance company asking for all of this when we settled), but if the new owner wants the matching BBS caps, Mtech1 wheel, blaupunkt stereo face and other wee bits and bobs (leather gaiters, mtech gearknob, torch,...

Thinking about selling this as it is to fund an e28 sickness I have - apart from the damage the car is mint (no rust anywhere, and I mean anywhere!), and the engine is about as perfect as you can get 92k - see previous posts on this thread for full history. The interior is unmarked and has very good...
