E30 Brake upgrade (rear question)
Hi Guys I just wanted to find out 2 things: 1.) If one upgrades the front brakes to a bigger disc and 4 pot calipers, is it necessary to upgrade the rears as well? 2.) Has anyone done the E46 328i rear brake upgrade for the E30, if so, what is the required process? P.S: I have read through the brake...

Short Shifter for dogleg gearbox
Hi All
Just wanted to find out whether there is any short shift options for the 'dog-leg' gearbox. Will the Z3 shifter fit in these boxes?

Moose

And I think you should write a book RoyalRatch, given your detailed build.

Thanks for the response. I am looking at putting standard BMW E30 bushings in the front and in the rear suspension. The Powerflex polystyrene bushings are selling at 2 times the price for the UK ones, so not an option.Royalratch wrote:Which bushings - be specific.

Yes there are. The pre-facelift/ chrome bumber is broad in the middle. The facelift is more even all across from the one light to the other. Hope I make sense

One of the best threads. RoyalRatch!
Can you please give me the part numbers for the bushings. I'm looking at installing them in my ride. I am not a technical person and I just can't be able to know which is which. I am looking at installing the allround.
Sorry for the hijack/ request.

There's a mint one here in South Africa. The forum members believe the guy should sell it for 10 000 South African rands. That is equivalent to 933 Euros.

Beefing up an M88
Hi friends. I just landed myself some hens' teeth i.e. E28 M5 motor i.e. the famous M88.
Now, I am pleased with the 280bhp it produces. However, I would love to have a bit more power, without forced induction. What tricks can I play around with to realise a bit more power i.e. 45bhp addition.

Why is it that with S38 conversions, the E34 M5 engine is prefered to the E28 M5 engine?
(Hijack-sorry) I have access to the E28 M5 engine and would love to do a swap, but I am afraid that it doesn't seem to popular.

I must be honest MJJ_ZX6RR, I know very little about cars. Therefore, I will rely on my mechanic for the technical stuff. Hi Fellas!
Which parts do you guys recomend when rebuilding a naturally-aspirated M30 3.3 engine?
I am asking for the real deal i.e. pistons, gaskets, oil pumps. Everything.
How much will one pay for the parts alone?
New to the forum and really want my M30 back on the road.
