Thanks guys!

Surgery was a great success! All components extracted, nothing cut or broken. Cheers for the advice, handy stuff.

13-button OBC Extraction

Does anyone know how this is done? I have an SE-spec car fitted with the 13-button OBC, the "full" one with the additional wiring to the dashboard stalk and ECU, and temperature sensor down in the nose-cone. I'm looking to pluck it asunder as efficiently as possible, and popped on here to see if any...

Yep, I am still doing these!

I'd scan and e-mail the drawing before it goes onto the t-shirt, so you can check that it's as you want it. Smiley lights can be done too.

That's actually a reference to Bit Crusherrrr by Mad Capsule Markets which is itself named after an audio processing effect of digitally lo-fi'ing sound.

He needs another R on the end though, the official title of the track has four there.

The wiki has to be signed up to seperately from the main site, it has it's own user DB.

Perhaps the admins will see this and direct the wiki lookup to the main site's user DB so you or anyone else can log in with your main site sign-in credentials.

Go to this bit of the site: http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=1 Then find your car type in the list, click Add Your E30 You'll have to look at what the existing list looks like. Re: where does the 2.7 engine come from?

The one I have in mind for mine is the crank from the M54B30 - it's the longest stroke you can reasonably easily fit into the block. You need the bottom end from a 2.7 (525e) because it's got more crank clearance, and you also need to hack off the bottom of the piston skirts, otherwise they'll hit t...

Re: sparkless dolomite

Thanks for the suggestions. I looked into them. The points were gapped incorrectly, and that's now been fixed. The leads were in the wrong order, also fixed. The condenser is covered in a weird frosty-white corrosion, so it may be that, though there's was no tell-tale blackness on the rotor arm to i...

Got a Dolomite 1850 today, and the bitch won't spark. New plugs, leads, distributor, and a recent ignition coil. The earth has been checked and is fine.

Yep, maybe an expert has corrected them, I'm pretty sure the first time I saw it, they were selling it as an Alpina, or at the very least it was erroneously referred to as one by someone other than myself.

I got a brand new one for mine, and it was chewed to f**k by mice in about 3 days. About £50 iirc but there's cheaper out there. I just scraped the worst of the old stuff away with a broken bit of number plate.

Alpina 840 SC8?!

Is this legit? There's almost no information about a so-called "SC8" online.

Tasty car.
I went to look at it in person a while back. Now it's cropped up online and I'm interested again.

Re: cant decide!!

I personally like the black undersides on standard cars.

With an iS lip, as I said, more or less, in the Tedswagon thread, you'll have a black base for the red to sit on, and it'll look great. Colour-coding works too but I think it's best left for cars with plastic bodykits on.

Something's come loose.

You'll probably have to tear the door card off and reconnect stuff. Might be obvious what's come undone.

This yours? Tedburn St Mary

Noticed there's a small gathering of E30 in the middle of Tedburn St Mary in Devon, one of which looks like a 325 Sport with some tasty 80s style black BBS with silver lip, and Tech-2 spoiler. This makes me wonder if it's a Zone thing, though no stickers or anything, and I haven't seen the cars here...

Re: SE skirt, is lip and mims on . . .

I'd say leave it as it is, the lip and the skirts line up, so to speak, for a black band only interrupted by the wheels (mm I can smell two stroke exhaust from outside) and it looks ace as it is. Mims work on E30s.

Cool, thanks! I don't need to copy from a specifc photo (I draw freehand, so to speak) as long as I've got an idea of the individual car's details/features, and an idea of what angle you'd like it at. I've probably drawn the E30 more than any other car, so I can draw it in pretty much any way you li...

E30/Car Artwork on a T-shirt

I'd like to start selling t-shirts to American car enthusiasts, t-shirts with artwork of their cars on it. But as yet, I don't have much in the way of examples or feedback, and I can't really charge full price for experimental pieces, or until I'm a bit more established. Rather than wasting a bunch ...

Those aren't clocked! No one goes to that sort of trouble to knock off 2 -3 %. Most likely explanation is that the cluster has been replaced and those were the clusters closest to the correct mileage they could find. My thoughts exactly. I've got a white faced cluster in mine, totally not standard,...
