Re: BMW Breakers near Derby

I've been to the guy off Daleside Road and he was the same with me - a unit full of parts and he couldn't decide if he "needed" them himself or if they were in fact for sale. There was a more door red shell in Looms' the other week but very little left of it - nothing in Podders either at the moment...

Re: 1989 factory fitted alarm.

wondered what the one by the number plate was!

When I had the door card off I noticed all the mechs behind the drivers door lock - would it cause any problems if you removed, plated and sprayed - I'm not running the original alarm anyway - bl00dy ugly thing on the door anyway!

They do look sweet, I ran German font and banded plates on all my VWs and never got pulled but luck of the draw I guess. I have German font, GB banded ones for the E30 but quite like the retro look of the dealer plates at the moment - personal choice but run them and run the risk of getting pulled....

Cheers

Exploded view of 325 engine

Can someone post me a link to that website with all the exploded views of the E30 angine and parts that the dealers use please? Got an air leak and hoping I can replace a hose rather than the whole air flow meter part.......which might explain why it's running rich and hunting for revs. Thanks Bruce

Re: Bit of a mare with the roof!

found the problem - there is a self tapping screw worked it's way lose which holds two bits of the frame together (behind the hood where the C pillar would be on a hard top) - gonna have a crack at it this weekend, means peeling the canvas away from the frame and re-bonding it - YIKES! Will let you ...

Re: Battery booster / jump starter

I have that one from Maplins and it worked fine on my old MK2 Golf but it doesn't even begin to turn the 325 Cab although it is supposed to work on engines up to 3000cc - was about £50 badly spent......grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :x

Bit of a mare with the roof!

Tried putting the roof back up tonight and it didn't pull into thelockers at the front. The bar with the seal that runs across the top of the drivers window didn't straighten and I had to use a bit of brute force. Managed to lock it down but it's not sealing against the horse shoe. Seems the tension...

SPOTTED - are you a Zoner?

Keep seeing a dark grey 2 door saloon with white 15 inch BBS wheels on my way to work - waved and flashed the other morning but then realised I was in the Mini and not the Cab :o:

Is this someone on here?
