325i
Thanks- I suspect this car is not an SE- although it does have the front fogs and the rear lip spoiler as well as the diagonal striped cloth, no headlamp washers though. Here's some pics: http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh14/e21Wadey/325ISE.jpg http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh14/e21Wadey/325...

Late 325i SE spec is what??
Does anyone know why some 'plastic bumper' cars have colour coded bumpers and others just have black bumpers? I'm looking at buying a 1990 G reg 325i SE Auto which has black bumpers but has what appears to be SE spec otherwise, albeit with the naff four spoke plastic steering wheel, not the 3 spoke ...

Re: never polished a car
Good point...robbo86 wrote:You can use a clay bar limitless times without damaging your paint. Something cutting like paint renovator is good for a while, however eventually you will rub down to primer/bare metal.

Is there any advantage in using a clay bar over a cutting product such as Autoglym Paint Renovator? When I was a lad I don't think clay bars were invented... My recently acquired Cab's paint was as Alex described his 318is was when he got it, rough with tar spots etc but after a day of using Autogly...

Re: New E30 Cab & old E24
I agree but boy do they rust. Looked at a 633 last year, thought I'd turned up to see a FIAT by mistake...Ollie_bwoii wrote:Suppose but I do love the classic shark nose look of a early 630cs with chrome, bottletops and a comfort interior! Ultimate cool!

Re: New E30 Cab & old E24
Know what you're saying about the chrome bumper 6's, they do look nicer in many ways but to compensate the Highline has a better interior- I think at least 10 cows died to fit out each one!Ollie_bwoii wrote:You went for a highline not a chromie E24!![]()
But lovely cars you've got!

Cheers mate, very kind of you. I'll get chucked off here for saying it but the 635 will always be my favourite.ImysE30 wrote:Cab looks very nicebut the 635csi, what a car

New E30 Cab & old E24
I've just bought this 325i Cabriolet which I'm smitten with so couldn't resist posting a pic and thought I'd throw in my 635CSi as well for good measure 'cos I'm not sure which is the better car! As this is the E30 Zone, I can guess the answers I'll get here... http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh1...

635 parts
I've got a 635CSi Highline. Absolutely no problem getting parts- BMW still has virtually everything for E24s.

316i M40 Misfire
I have an M40 316i with 70,000 miles. It snatches/jerks/misfires at certain speeds but not harshly and usually on a light throttle. It is worst at 40-50mph in fourth gear. I know all about the camshaft problems with these engines and the cam was slightly worn so I had the head professionally rebuilt...
