What's happening with iS prices?

A little while ago it seemed they were in great demand, now there appears to be loads going for next to no cash. I really want an E30 M3 but not sure I could stump up the extra cash if the iS is bargain basement. It did endear itself to me a lot the other day when I found 7,000rpm a few times, but S...

How many people track their E30 318iS?

Just interested to hear/see what you have done to them in order to run on track and how they perform, where you'd like to improve etc?

Thanks

Tim

Despite what anyone says the E36 M3 is a hell of a car.

I've had an E36 325 coupe for the last 18 months, it's up for sale now but is a great car and a real step on from the E30 in many ways.

Hello, I have similar dilemmas at the moment. I have some mopping done to bring back the red, shame really, but that's how it is! Might get a Viper for it this month and see how good it is, wasn't convinced on my 325, but we shall see. I'm looking at a full super-sprint system next month. Will repla...

Quite long if I think about it, short shift would certainly compliment the buzzy engine. The 7200rpm rev limit is always nice if it doesn't lunch the engine!!

Modifying the E30 318iS?

I've spent a little while reading various posts on here and am a little surprised how many of you have the 318iS! No question is a cracking car, so I wondered how you have modified it, if you have. Having seen the work of Jayson's Viper2 chip I am slightly curious about the gains on the E30, is anyo...

BMW E30 Inspection (Service) sheets/criteria?

I've had a poke around the net and also done a search on here but couldn't find anything (maybe I've missed it somehow). Basically what i am after is the inspection sheet(s) for E30's, for use with work but also for my own records. Oil Service, Insp I & II. Does anyone have these, or a copy of? Anyt...

This E30 is a piece of kit

Took it for a 20/25 mile drive this evening to see what was what. I haven't given it the proper test since buying it however long ago it was. Nothing too heavy to start with but once it was warmed up I hit the b-roads, national speed limits and generally made the most of the completely empty roads. ...

I'd go for the 318iS for all the reasons above, such a good little car. I bought mine for a couple of reasons, 1) I've always wanted one and 2) It was cheap and I plan to sell it on a make a couple of quid. :D

The 'wear' on the seat is the size of a 1 pence piece, on the bolster, the rest of the interior is like it came out of the factory. The mileage is backed up by 11 years worth of receipts, with a bill of sale in 1994 for Ԛ£8000, mileage showing 30k. I think it has to be worth something between Ã...

You surprise me, I would have thought it was a major plus point! But mileages aren't the be all and end all, car condition is much more important especially on BMW's which can soldier on forever.

Yeah, but surely 30k miles is quite a lot? It's only done 40k in 11 years.

Thanks for your help.

What's my E30 318iS worth?

I've looked on ebay, autotrader etc but I thought I would ask the experts. I know there are many variables with cars and some people are willing to pay way over the top, likewise some don't wanna spend a penny more than they have to. So roughly, would you give me an idea of what my 318iS is worth pl...
