All dependant on mileage history and condition, of course, but if it's under 120k with history I'd say Ԛ£1200 is the absolute least you should accept, and really it should go for more than that. It's getting increasingly difficult to get a good, standard iS. I've even seen under average mileage...

When I went from standard 318i to 318is there was about Ԛ£10 difference so insurance companies don't seem to know the difference in bhp, so it makes semse to get an iS. Try a company called HighPerformance. They did a good quote for me a few years ago on my then 1.8 16v Corrado (approx same pow...

By the way, now we're on the subject, could someone list what is actually done on the major inspection II service?

I've already had oil/filter change, and pads/rear discs - so what would that leave to do out of an inspection II?

Thanks for that. Yeah I suppose the clock would be an apt symbol for a timely reminder of a date-related service. It seems so obvios now!

Basil Fawtly: "Specialist subject - the bleedin' obviou

I'm only just back into into E30 ownership after about six years, and my memory's gone, so forgive me asking about the bleedin' obvious, but.. The word ' inspection ' has just come on on the dash alongside a clock icon. What does that specifically refer to? The thing is, it's only recently had oil/f...

Ooops...

Dash lights have gone - never had that happen before (and no, they're not just dimmed...).

If it's not the fuse, how the bejeezuz do you get to the bulb? (318iS) Cheers.

Bugger...

... and buggeration. Second time in a week the electric windows and sunroof have stopped working. First I thought it was a blown fuse, but then they started working. Now they've stopped again, so I definitely will try replacing the fuse. But I've no handbook so where/which is the windows/sunroof fu...

Although when I did get into London the electric windows and sunroof suddenyl stopped working (and this when one window and sunroof where open!). But then half an hour later they suddenly worked a...

Okay, thanks for that, I know what to bid on now. I guess the green first aid boxes must be from the later models then. Cheers.

Just in case my arm falls off... or an eye pops out...

Which is the correct first aid kit to have for a 1990 E30 3 series? There's lots advertised on Ebay (mostly E46) and the others never seem to state if they are appropriate for an E30. Also, is the 318iS model included in the standard E30 owner's handbook, or would I have to get an E46 handbook to co...
