after selling my 320/325 which i deeply regret ( don't laugh please ) i'm now driving a Rover 75 tourer in which will be the closest i'll get to a BMW for a while ( Diesel engine so not all bad ) ,suprising not a bad car at all but absolutely no comparision to my old e30 ,still got my convertible wh...

sorry i can't think of anything worse than driving 7 miles in any car let alone an M3, cars' need to be driven and 7 miles would mean that the engine won't be runnin g at it's optimum temprature creating condensation which won't really burn off

ibeleieve a volvo 340 has the same wiper motors fitted and which are more reliable because they are better protected from the elements

Same problem with mine , somedays on tick over the car rocks from side to side , thanks for the above suggestions , its also not as rapid as before the tappets were readjusted ( no power surge at approx 3,000 revs) :(

Daniel , the one you're referring to is will be quite diffrcult to retro fit unless the wiring loom has been fitted and its just then a matter of plug and play .Maybe someone else can give you better advice

try a paint supplier to the trade , local ones around by me supply spray paint , they do the mixing as long as you give the paint code .Larger cans than halfolds

Sorry i think i have the dubious honour so far as being the oldest at 49 and on my 10th e30 ( one day i'll have one that doesn't need work ,but then do they exist ? ) at present i''m driving the money pit 325 and have waiting to be attacked with money a D reg 325 convertible

I once filled up a Ford Excective (showing my age now ) to the brim, drove home from Tidworth to Swansea with a lot of back firing and smoke but no damage done just huge embarassment, kept topping up with petrol to try to dilute the diesel

Hannah, the skirts are as fitted to SE models , they are nice and give a subtle finish to the car. (set for sale see keith52 post )

No one i could find supplied a pattern wing , the difference is the length of the sill as convertibles have deeper sills for strengthening purposes, a few people add a length of steel to a saloon wing which will work but dependant on your welding skills determines the type of finish you achieve

IMO stay clear of it doesn't sound like its worth £500 even broken if your mate has 3500 to spend there's still a few good ones out there. you can spend a extraodinary amount of money on getting the shell right as nearly all work is labour intensive and thats before you look at the mechanics ,get ...

The reason that they rust is that there is a large amount of seam sealer applied which runs down the pillar and finishes just before the scuttle vent , moisture gets trapped there and it just becomes a rust trap If it's blistering on the outside it probably far worse inside.
