turned out to be the plastic lens/holder itself ...it was snapped where it holds the terminal superglued it back works fine now......cheers fellas..................clever things these check panels ..even tells you the plastic has snapped

number plate light
number plate light keeps flashing on the check panel every time i put the lights on ...but both bulbs are fine..any ideas cheers

i,m in stevenage no great plans really got some rust issues on the rear arches to do in the winter and maybe some alpina rims and get the interior up to scratch everything working etc

ok have tried a new hazard switch and a new relay (the one inside the steering column cowl)
and its still the same... bulbs are all fine and hazards work fine...dont know what to try next....anyone got any ideas?

got lots of little electrical niggles with this car at the moment..(driving me nuts) the latest one is the right handside indicators (all 3)....when i turn on right hand side indicators there is no green light on the dash and the normal indicator sound is really fast like a real fast click ...hazard...

slow electric window
passenger window on my cab is very slow...the first six inches is ok then it really struggles then picks up speed again the last couple of inches and sounds like its struggling..its also the same on the way up...could this be the switch

ok just found the problem using the search facilty (glove box light shorting out) another one of brian mooore,s fixes.....this blokes a bloody genius...like some sort of electrical guru

my indicator fuse keeps blowing as soon as i replace it then start the car it blows again....hazards work fine...any advice appreciated .....thanks

right....bear with me please brian like i said i am an electrical novice.. is the thermal fuse on the resistor which is to the right of the glove box....if so do i need to change this or just part of it..thanks

but it does it on both blower motors one of which i have just bought second hand but was tested and also turns perfectly freely with no stifness or bearing noise whatsoever..............is ther anyway to test thse motors...in laymans terms as i am a complete electrical novice ie....blue wire /brown ...

heater blower new problem
my heater blower was blowing fuses so soought advice from the forum and it turned out to be the fan was seized....so i freed it with wd40 and put it back together....it started working on no4 but kept cutting out till eventually it stopped altogether...so i buy asecond hand one on ebay ...fitted it ...

looked at it today and the fan was seized managed to free it with some wd40 it now works but only on position 4 but it also sounds like its struggling and cuts out then starts again...so it looks like a new motor.......
