Re: Need tip on buying and fitting new convertible hood
Its not that hard if you sort-of no what your doing... I brought my roof from BAS international.... @ http://www.car-hood.co.uk/content.php?nID=2&cID=22&pID=110 - prices have gone up now but I paid £403.03 to be precise along with a tin of their High Heat resistance adhesive. Which Diff/LSD?
Oryte Lads, Wondering if anyone can help... What would be the options available in terms of diff for a M50 conversion using both e36 engine and box? My mates nearly done his conversion in a 320 cab but where not too sure which diff to use. Will a e36 compact 3.23 ratio diff fit? are they any other o...

The supergluing doesnt sound too good 8O - I shall soon find out! Lol. Item 3 is what I have to bond to the windscreen, Item 2 is just a rubber ring. Ive stuck it on with Tiger Seal with a nice neat black circle looking from the outside with no air bubbles, Ill give it a few days to dry before I fix...

Re: E36 Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror
You shouldn't need anything if you have the right screen. There should be a special dot on a convertible screen where the triangular mount bonds. In fact, every convertible screen I've ever seen already has the mount bonded to the screen. If you do not have that mount, i.e. a saloon / touring scree...

Re: E36 Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror
Brianmoooore - really appreciate the detailed routing of the wire! Thank you! Ill most likely tap into it at the sill and take a wire up to the rear view mirror. DanThe - The screen/roof is brand new which I fitted last year, so its still clear. However it does have a slight green tint to it so I ma...

I can see the pics and it ties in very much with what 'Grrrmachine' is saying. The 2 black pipes you've cropped in on are fuel lines - Id check the rubbers haven't perished around the ends near the jubilee clips (you can see this on the first pic you've posted). If they have - chop the ends off for ...

Re: Dual stereo system ?
Theres a socket at the back of the glovebox that allows a slim socket to be plugged which is for the stereo - it has the earth, positive and ignition - which is used for the stereo. With regards to having two stereos - it can be done by putting on 2 connectors on the end of the wire ive just mention...

I dont know if the same thing has happened to mine, however the symptons sound the same!
Did your engine refuse to start? Mine seems to be missing and not idling, backfiring and all sorts! However I thought this was because of a 'mechanic' screwing my AFM up!

Re: Another dashboard lights out!
I may as-well get a new lighting switch to keep everything original.
Thats correct (sorry for the confusion). The power is fine, once ground is applied by touching to the body - the motor works. Would it be a best bet to replace the wiper stalk?
Really appreciate the help!

Re: Another dashboard lights out!
So that confirms the bulbs aren't blown. It confirms that the dimmer section of the lighting switch is though. Does that mean I need a new rotary headlight switch unit? As for the washer pump - the +ve on the water pump is very low (light very dim when connected using a tester), if I connect a +ve ...

Yep I made sure the headlight knob was all the way clockwise.
The dash lights come on when the rear ashtray light is earthed. So that confirms the bulbs aren't blown.
