Usually fits in position 2 with no fouling on the servo.
My m30's an auto but pretty much sure you have to use the m20 gear linkage.
No your m20 pas pump wont fit.
Best of luck, looks like a good setup you bought.

get some forte crank case cleaner! stick it in the oil filler cap, run the engine til it get as hot as possible, then drain the oil whilst its still hot (careful). Be sure to change the filter.

A guy I worked with just after college before uni bought a rover 25, severly sludged up, on the cheap as the HG had gone. He'd worked at Rover, so knew it was a simple change, and after putting it back together, filled the coolant system with water, and 2 fairy liquitabs in the header tank then ran...

I swapped the shed for my mates 36 for a day as there was something wrong with his wheel alignment. I liked it alot TBH but it felt heavy compared to the e30's. Was glad to get mine back!

Re: Flat throttle response...?
Hmm, surely a strange one! Are you sure there isnt a flat spot on the throttle position switch? checking readings at closed and full throttle might not help diagnosis as probs the 1000-3000rpm part of the rotation angle are the most used and will wear out! Can you try it for a known good one?

Boyd, iirc, and don,t ask me how i know :o: you can actually mix the diesel into tank of petrol. Not sure what the ratio is though. The spark of a ...
