318 M40 Spark Wires in MM?

I just need to know whats the diameter for the standard BOSCH spark wires is... anyone knows? the reason im asking is because right now im using non standard coil (ie. thats odd, i just check the Contact Us page. They do have a send button on the right lower corner, just below the message box... maybe your browser isn't showing it for some reason. its a small orange button with a SEND written on it.

Re: Toyota 1JZ Engine Swap

Help with VIN number!!
Hey guys, i have a small problem. I read on the other forums that E30's have the VIN number on either the LHS of the dash just near the windscreen or on the firewall just below the center wipers. now the problem is I really need the complete VIN on my car and i can't find it, there's nothing on the ...

Re: Oil leak 318i M40
in that case try checking the oil filter and replace o-ring afterwards. also, is your gearbox sides seeping with oil? oil could leak from either the front or rear crank seals (if from rear crank, oil could seep on the gearbox), and also is your fan cover oily? this is really odd... oh yea! one vital...

Re: Oil leak 318i M40
really? no oil leaking from the oil pan? no black stuff??
that's odd, does your exhaust gives out smoke? if it does try a compression check
oh, when you mean oil pan, was it the lower part or the upper part?

Re: Poor Idle tried lots of different things still no joy.
well Brian, that's odd, the idle on my car is very adjustable from the throttle stop, i find that the idle always follow the throttle stop whenever i changed it (and with no problem whatsoever), mine is an M40 btw, don't know if that makes a difference as i've heard that the motronic ECU on my engin...

Re: Poor Idle tried lots of different things still no joy.
yes i do mean the adjuster, try to adjust it to see if thats where the problem is. as for the cambelt: well a week ago i had a problem with my car, it won't start, it turns out my ignition and fuel pump relays were bad (i also ended up changing my TPS). i also found out that my cambelt was loose, so...

Re: Oil leak 318i M40
well you could check the upper and lower part of your oil pan, you could also check the valve cover (however quite unlikely) or the head gasket (very unlikely as if the head gasket is damaged you'll get lost compression coupled with smoke from your exhaust). my best bet is the upper and lower oil pan.

Re: Poor Idle tried lots of different things still no joy.
have you adjusted the throttle stopper bolt on the engine? (the thing that links to the throttle cable)
you could also have a loose cambelt, i've had this problem before and i think its either that or the throttle stopper. although it could also be the spring tension on your AFM.

Re: E30 Battery Going Dead Every Hour
Well, I'll give you all some pointers to test the battery, the easy way: Make sure the car is cold (meaning you didn't start the engine for at least 2 hours before), best to do it in the morning before you're off to somewhere, open up the hood (or where ever the battery is) and touch the positive te...

Re: strange overheating problem
what? white smoke!!!!!???? well i don't plan to upset you or scare you or anything, but i do think it could be your piston rings have been fried, which causes lost compression on the combustion chamber, that's whats causing the smoke. which means you need to get new piston rings = engine overhaul. y...

Re: strange overheating problem
@SPP320i what Tigalima means is that here In Indonesia most E30's have their temperature switch disabled by previous owners who in an act of idiocy or plain ignorance think that the dial has no use since we live in the tropics, but really man, we do get cold in the more mountainous regions here, esp...
