Car is an auto, don't think they have pinion bearings and car has been checked over thoroughly by mechanic, meant to be in rude health (certainly runs very well).

Found this useful guide to steering wheels available in the E30. But does anyone know if there is a difference in size between the standard 4 spoker and the 3 spoke Sport and Mtech 1 wheels? No rust I can see anywhere, car is surprisingly rot-free including arches. One garage I took it to was no help, they 'thought' it was the exhaust but it definitely is not. What a puzzle...

Hmmmmmmmmmm I have an aerial and a towbar. The aerial only stands semi-erect

I thought it may have been a blowing exhaust but it looks like it's something else. It only happens above 20mph and increases with speed. Reading previous threads here, it could be a new wiper motor or just repacking the existing one with new grease? However I asked someone yesterday who insisted it's probably the wiper relay..?

Wipers work on the fastest setting, do not work at all on any of the others.
