Just checked the motor and it's spinning freely so that seems ok. Resistor next I guess, but as before, if it was knackered would the fan not work at all or just on the highest speed? Also, the wiki says where the resistor is on non AC cars but where is it on AC equipped models? I've got AC on my E...

Re: E30 16" Alpina wheels: Centre cap question.
Thanks, that's very helpful!! :D It does confirm that the four stud wheel caps are smaller than the 5 stud ones (seems reasonable!) and it looks like they're around 125mm in diameter (I was told they're around 138mm or so? 5 stud caps are 158mm). No probs, glad you found it useful. The four stud ca...

I am this in PDF format though I can't remember where I downloaded it from.
PM me your email address and I'll send it to you, its in German but all the Part numbers are in english with pictures. I can't comment on the 15" version of the Alpina wheel.

Re: Soundproofing
To Monkey27, how effective was the deadening, is there substantial external noise reduction (road noise, wind and engine/tranny noise)? It works very well, significant reduction in road\wind and tranmission noise. However it will not drown out loud exhaust systems. It all depends on how and where y...

Here you go, i don't have the completed pics but you'll get the idea. I covered the transmission tunnel and the rear seat area. I double checked on how much I used and it was 1 and 3/4 of a bulk pack, sorry for that. http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/3183/bmw053.jpg http://img233.imageshack.us/img233...

Picture would be great to give me an idea :thumb: Bit more sound proofing than I though you'd use if you went through 2+ bulk packs! Is it as good as or better than the original sound proofing? Re: Soundproofing
I don't know will 41 sheets do an E30 though, I imagine it would with some left over as well? I have a post up on talk audio and a closed cell sound proofing was mentioned, any idea what this means? Closed to me sounds like it could trap moisture and promote rust over time? I used 2 and 1\4 of the ...

Anyone soundproofed their whole E30? Any advice on what area's to do? I'll be removing whats left of the existing sound proofing and then painting everything (which seems pointless as it will be covered again  ) before applying new sound proffing. I looked at Dynamat but it's very expansive! I...
