Hi Does anybody understand the parts codes to BMW got some e36 parts and not sure which they too e36 m3 3.0 or 3.2 how do you know which it is too . I don't have the car and the parts were given to me they have 10 1 403 691 marked on them and also other parts with a similar number which end last 3 d...

that seems good to me
do you have a bleed screw above the thermostat housing
have a play with that to get some air out
after that my knowledge has been exhausted

air block or not enough water is the favourite
where on the temp dial does it go to when on a 5+ mile journey
also put your hand on the pipes that go to the heater
that will tell you something too

after taking the black top casing off, you'll see the top of the fuel pump. note there is 2 gaps in the flanging bits. tap them anti clockwise with a hammer and screwdriver or chisel bit to unscrew. the rest is obvious by looking. straight forward enough job for most basic home mechanics. good luck ...

it will be the metal anti-squeal shield.
they are usually so rusty you can just bend it back with your fingers to stop the rubbing noise
raise the wheel rotate it and check for noise
then take wheel of and rotate the disc. you'll see and hear it

had a very similar thing with mine
if with the heater on (but not spinning) in the dark do the lights slighly dim as you hear the click sound
if so its the heater motor draining the power.
disconnect the fuse for the heater and you will confirm this if there is no click

Hi make sure it is locked in place as it WILL fall out.(got the teeshirt) yes me too gave up with these style, once they get changed they are worn and never as tight got one from an auto factors with a sticky back, cleaned the circular bit the mirror fastens to and pivots on. squeeze hard - stays o...

starting to like the look of 530d & 535d 1999 and newer
had a 535d fly past me the other day on the motorway, came out of nowhere and accelerated from 80 - whatever like a rocket.
anyone know about the pitfalls of these and what to look for, maybe theres a forum like this one out there for them

hi, cheers! cant remember times mate, we did the international circuit about 2.20 sound about right , did the national in my subaru wrx in 1.50. have done 1.41 in bone dry good conditions in mine and 2.05 in heavy rain never done international - you really are a track day player good luck to you :D

before you mess around with any of the above mentioned 'fixes' you need to fully measure the settings around the whole car using wire & levels etc. start from checking all tracking, camber, toe, pre load & corner weights etc. when you got these set correct then the car will be balanced. theres far m...

slamming on the brakes in an e30 head on, unless you move you're foot at the last moment might put an end to your ankle, foot or even knee or hip with an estimated 80mph impact. twats like these are a menace. i had a couple of similars in mine with my little boy in the car.
