hiya ppl i recently renewed a bottom ball joint on my E30, and to do this i had to disconnect the brake sensor to get at the arm joint. when i reconected the brake sensor i now have the brake pad warning light on (the red light in between handbrake and ignition light) does anybody know how i get it ...

cheers for the response guys, its both the "check" light and "brake lights" light on the roof. ill give the connectors a good clean see if this shifts it, like i said its very hit and miss, sometimes it comes on during journeys and sometimes it dosent.

or does everyones E30 have the "check" light flash as soon as you turn on the ignition and you have to press the brake pedal to get the "check" light off and also the "brake light" light on the computer on the roof? ive been doing this for years now and thought it was normal.....but the "check" ligh...

yeah brian i did notice the inner and outer ball joints :-s, so does this mean i can just buy the ball joint off GSF?? if so thatd be great, bcuz thats all i need.

yeah i did read somewhere that bmw main dealers are the most expensive! i can believe that!

hi ppl

i was on the forum a week or 2 back and im sure i saw a picture someone posted of all the parts from steering rack to ball joint.

does anybody know where its gone?? its the same picture they use when looking at part numbers on the bmw parts department pc.

hi ppl ive just popped into blue bell, crewe and asked how much a bottom ball joint for the E30 was. anyway after a few moments he came back and said "Ԛ£110" so i laughed and said "Ԛ£110 for a bottom ball joint?" and he said that you have to replace the whole arm! is this true? plz tell me...

i have an after market alarm/imobiliser unit from Pirahna, and im having a lot of trouble with it. so please reply to this if you have any previous alarm/imobiliser knowledge.

hi people, jonny has also had the same sort of problem as me and has removed his imobiliser.

does anybody have a pirahna alarm and has removed there imobiliser? or does anybody know how big of a job removing an imobiliser is?

nope i didnt ask for the idle to be rose to 900rpm just thought that was standerd procedure.

yh it acts very "floody" even when its hot...in the descritpion ant said that it should automatically go to 900rpm (instead of the standard 700rpm) i would get a better ride if it self adjusted to 900rpm as i wouldnt have to keep revving it all the time whilst wanting to move off from a standing sta...

forgotten when it last got serviced, but my local specialist said that it wont need servicing for another 10,000 miles. so they stuck a sticker on the "black box" and it says "next service due at 84,290" and im now on 75, 065.
