Ha ha not the barn find, i wish!

Hi everyone,

Just wanted some opinions, my friend has a e30 m3 with a very good solid engine and rebuilt gearbox. Has lots of history too.

Does anyone know what he might get for the engine and gearbox if he was to sell, with a complete exhaust and manifold?

Would be EBAY be the best?

no its a bmw z1, which has the same engine as a e30 325.

the diff could be the reason, being a 4.10

It does have a 4.10 diff. By the way it is a BMW z1.

Maybe it's just the way they drive. The ones on YouTube seem quick.

Hi, I have recently acquired a 325. Having had a few in the past, this one is no where near what it should be like. Everytime you put your foot down, it just does not move as quick as it should, sounds a bit too revy like a 316 or 318 and definately no kick to it. Its as if the revs climb as normal ...

I am going to have to drive another to see if there is any problems.

I did have the head done about 2000 miles ago.

Maybe could be a issue with the engine.

I have a e30 325 cab which is a auto.

It drives nice, and is a good cruiser, but by god its damn slow.

Never driven a manual but are auto cabs really sluggish.

Its barely moves with kick down.

The engine is fine, no worries there, just thought it would be a bit more quicker.

Ok, well i would have to say mine is quite rare.

Its a L-reg 325i convertible in schwarz black.

I have seen a couple of 318's on a k plate, but never a 325 on a L reg in Black.

I know its only late registration but still rare. It was a Hexagon BMW dealer car.

Mine has been out since Feb.

Get a hardtop, you wont have to worry than!

I have a s50 turbo engine, complete with a manifold, ecu, everything but the intercooler.

Just need a rolling shell, sold the previous shell as it was a crap shell.

To save all the hassle may just buy a 325 sport and throw it in that.

I have a e30 m3 which i am buying and has 3.2 e36 evo engine. I will be removing the engine as i want to go one step further. The engine is complete, polished, with all mounts, manifold, exhaust, Rad, ITB's, DTA ECU, dyno proof of 302bhp at the wheels! Amazing engine and sounds the bollox. Basically...

1mm thats not gonna clear much is it.

You have to have the arch over the tyre for best effect and even on my 16's with a 45 front i had about 3-4 mm and would scrape everywhere!

Needs 17" splits ideally.

However to pull it off, your gonna have to drop a lot and on the front and wont clear the valance.

I had 16's and didnt work too well.

I agree with dax4x4turbo.

You can get a e30 to beat most supercars on the straight, with enough money, but most supercar owners would not give a toss.

But it still feels good when you keep up with somehting worth over 100k.

My last supercharged e30 m3 was pushing out just under 500 bhp and was about 3 cars lenghts behind a gallardo lp560.

Obviously on a rolling run. Would get left for dust off a launch as no traction.

oh ok. Right this is the issue, I have gaz coilovers and had 9x16 on the car on the front and needed a 25mm spacer, god knows why they were apprentley et24. Without the coilovers i only needed a 5mm spacer on the same wheels. I have found the same width but et28, i ma just wondering, will i still ne...

I have found some wheels which are 3 piece and the fronts are et28.

Does this mean the will fit ok?

I have Azev a on the car at the moment which i believe are et25 and have no issues.

Any help appreciated.

what size?

Look like 15" centres and 16" outers

Both front wishbones

Inner and outer track rod ends, both sides

Drop Links, both sides.
