hi this might be a stupid question but will the head from a 1996 e36 i.s be the same as the head on my 1990 e30 i.s?

the side skirts are part of the aero bodykit. ive got a brand new set that have never been fitted, i think their a genuine part as mine are stamped with the bmw logo on the inside. i may be wrong tho!
