Re: BMW's new fabric car...
Bangle is an idiot......... One tear and its a whole new "body" needed (which from bmw would not be cheap!). At 60mph it would be like an umberella in the wind. And i would like to know what would happen if you crashed it. Looks cool though. Don't know if you're being sarcastic or not but it's only...

Re:
Looks like a blocked sunroof drain and these can manifest in rust in many ways.
A new roof welded on from a clean car and painted to match is not a super massive job but it's only worth it if the car is worth it.

Re: Non-Boot Subwoofers...
That would be find but they are not often cheap, and he don't want door pods. The only other way i can think of at the moment, would be, a quality set of components, actively crossed with a Pheonix Gold bass cube or a Caliber CXQ3 parametric jobbie TBH That way you could boost the lower freq's (whats...

Re: Cruise control not working
IIRC, as pointed out, 4-pot cars do not have provision for cruise at that panel (slot is there, no pins). This is something I was unaware of, so I've just checked a couple of scrap four pot looms, and the wiring and pins are all present and correct. You do occasionally come across a lesser E30 with...

Re: Non-Boot Subwoofers...
6x9's in the shelf or free air subs bolted underneath, would look stock. Why are you being so fussy anyway? I don't see the problem with door builds or sub boxes, they can be integrated neatly. BTW sub under seat stupid idea! Just don't want any changes/additions to the boot or interior. Is that fu...

Re: Cruise control not working
Well, I've seen 2 to 3 four pots with no provision so I guessed it was a 6-Cyl option or something. Can't understand the logic of BMW not having the provision there -]the ETK does not show it as an option on 318i/318iS so that's cool that you had it. I bought a new loom, clutch switch/bracket, stalk...

Re: Non-Boot Subwoofers...
Only want more bass than the standard fronts. Don't want door builds or boxes in back. At this point, most people would say forget it. Surely that's the point though - how can we overcome this problem? We need creativity, ingenuity and positivity. So- more bass without sub boxes or door builds. 6" i...

Re: Cruise control not working
If you've connected it all up properly (triple-check!) then suspect the ECU and/or actuator arm.
Try a known working ECU first.

Re: Cruise control not working
I'm I correct in thinking that i DO NOT need to tap into the brake switch circuit. Guess i'll find out in the morning!! Wiring goes from the clutch switch to the brake light switch, in series, so that pushing either pedal disengages the cruise. Are you saying that if I have the clutch switch instal...

Re: Cruise control not working
The wire for the clocks is for speed - any pin will do. Power is feed from the options panel in the rear coroner of the glovebox behind the black panel. On 4-Cylinder cars, the power feed is not present so you'll have to tap into another 12V source elsewhere- there are loads. Earth must also be fitt...

Re: Non-Boot Subwoofers...
DO NOT BOTHER. As above, when your driving you won't notice it. Get your self a small low power 8" in a seald box a small amp. will do you fine if you just want fill. Basically I want a little bass but nothing mental and anything has gotta be better than those weedy 5.25's. Don't want anything in t...
