Re: warning lights

It will be a fault. On mine the cable hangs free and two wires from the back of the caliper are just loose. Tidy them away and all is well.

Re: warning lights

Its a brak pad wear sensor light. My one is fooked and the light stays on. If you look at the front calipers at the rear of the caliper there will be two wires and they atach to a cable which runs up the oposite side the strut. I assume this can be bought seperatley but have no intention of replacin...

Re: Head gasket worries

Thanx for all your help and advise. I am going with the legend that is Mr. Moooore for his spot on diagnosis. All coolant levels are fine and have not been dropping and it is only a small amount of mayo on the cap. I have changed the oil less than 100 miles ago and I do use it for small journeys. A ...

Head gasket worries

As stated in the title I am slightly concerned. My first sign is lots of white smoke bellowing from the exhuast? This has settled a little recently after a couple of fairly long journeys. There is a small amount of mayo on the oil cap and i did notice some oil that has been leaking from the right fr...

Re:

I had the same problem on mine and how annoying it is. I cleaned the ICV and throttle body and discovered a split in the intake boot. This cost only £6 from a forum member and solved my problem. Car drives like it should now. Good luck

Cam

Hi. Can anyone tell me if I need to change the cam belt on a 325i. I have been told that the m20 engine is driven by chains not belts and that they do not need replacing. If so will I need to change the water pump any time soon, its done 139000 miles?

Any help please.

Hi Paul. can you give me a price on rear drive shaft nuts and the retaining clips please. Its the ones that hold the hub and drive assembly together. I know that may be a bit vague but the best way to describe it would be: the bit in the middle of the hub were the wheel attaches too. I need 1 nut an...
