Hello mate, I had the same prob with mine, it pissed me off for months. Tried all the above to no avail. It turned out to be one of the soldered joints on the circuit board (back of speedo) Basically over the years with all the vibrations one of them had cracked, so it kept working intermittently. T...

Hi all, does anyone know what pins I need to go with this connector? Its to connect the electrics from the the front passenger door to the A pillar. Yeah it just felt like it was quite an effort. prob nothing wrong. just me worrying that something else has gone wrong

how freely should the rear wheels spin....?

with both rear wheels off the ground, handbrake off and in neutral how freely should the rear wheels spin? (discs)

I've done the above and verified that the pads and shoes are not biting and there is still alot of resistance.

Any thoughts...?

Handbrake cables....£?

Hi all, after my last mot the mech said I could probably do with some new handbrake cables, fair enough I thought.

I was just wondering if BMW still sell them and for how much? (1983 325i sport coupe)

Some went on ebay for a grand total of £48.50, alot or not?

do you reckon thats best done with the window all the way down, half way? I take it I've got to peel back that moisture barrier?

removing drivers door window....

Anyone got any knowledge on removing drivers door window (2 door, electric)

I've got the door card off, just need the window out now. Had a quick look but did'nt want to mess anything up.

For me its always Lancaster Insurance. 325i sport £127.82 fully comp, up to a thousands miles a year. It was around £250ish for up to 5000 miles a year.

I keep getting different answers from mates/internet...

Whats the best engine oil to use for a 325i sport with 107000 miles

not in the sense of brand but 5w/40, 10w/40, 15w/40, and so on....

Be nice to know from someone who knows what there on about.

I've looked for a part No. but no joy. so here is a pic. 1989 2 door coupe.

yeah its like its been adjusted so many times the holes done a 180, totally opposite where you would expect to find it.

As soon as I've got all the expanding foam out of my hair I'm gunna go av a nother goosey.

valve clearances.. what happens when..

I thought it was about time I checked and adjusted the valve clearances on my e30. Starting on cylinder 1, I noticed straight away it did'nt have a big enough clearance. No problem, loosen the retaining nut and adjust the eccentric. My promlem being the hole in the eccentric is already to far around...

Fair comment, its in reasonable shape, rear arches look ok from the outside but inside the wheel arch has some bad rust, it once had bit of a partial respray, couple of bubbles on the roof and some flaking lacquer on the boot lid, god only knows whats hiding under body kit? apart from that it actual...

yeah full black leather heated front seats, rear blind, 13 button obc, full tool kit, 17" alpina reps, air con(not working), 105,000 miles on the clock, body work in fairly good condition,

Not down to the last nut n bolt, but on all the bits that would probably sell...

fuel pump in the tank wont run when you turn the key on to feed main pump, pump in the tank works fine coz we've had it out and tested it. just wondering which relay powers it up? fuel pump relay or acu/dme relay?

does anyone know what this relay does? its a white siemens v23134-c52-x90. located near the air filter, theres 3 in total, the one in question is nearest to the front of the car. 325i sport 1989 g reg.

Got an e30 with the trip computer and the digital display has gone very dim...
