the coilovers are made using the orginal tii struts and a coilover kit i bought from rallye design, you have to cut the spring pan off and weld in the adjustible gusset and then its just a case of choosing some springs and bolt the top mounts back on. and as for the manifold that was made by me and ...

why not run a straight edge across the head ? with a torch behind the straight edge your soon see if the heads warped.. before you do that though make sure the surface of the heads clean. if you dont opt for skimmimg i find a bit of wet & dry say 600grit and some wd on a block always gives the head ...

dont see why people bother putting pictures like that on an advert, i mean if u cant even be bothered to push it outside and take some half decent pics ur obviously not bothered about selling it.. sorry that was abit of a rant but it niggles me as id be quite intrested in that car check out my turbo...

Thanks, still lots of work left to do, i modified the exhaust manifold last weekend so it now clears the steering coloum, front mount intercooler turned up today so ill be busy fitting that tommorrow :D

m20 rubber boot/hose/pipe

hi there,

im in desperate need of the rubber boot that attachs onto the throttle bodie and the air flow meter, it also houses the idle control valve..

its for a 2.5 litre M20 engine

could i have the part number as well as my local BMW dealership cant seam to get the right one...

The extra pins in the C101 are for the oil level sensor, etc., and aren't relevant to your problem. If the ignition lights weren't/aren't lit with the ignition switch on, then the problem isn't with the black/yellow wire. It has to be a problem with the red wire (which comes from the fusebox), the ...

right.. sorry for being a pain.. but i still havent solve the problem, playing around with the black and yellow plug was only a temporary fix... after i turned it off i could not start it again... ive taken the ignition switch off the back of the barrel and i have battery voltage at the wires to the...

right not really sure what ive done here but after playing around with the yellow and black wire my ignition lights have all illuminated and the car started off the key :D

i checked the yellow and black wire, unplugged it and plugged it back in still nothing, is it worth using a test light to check ive got a voltage running through it?

just bridged pins 11 and 14 and she fired up first time... :D going to check the black/yellow wire from the ignition switch ... if this looks okay is it likely to be my imobiliser?

Wouldn't have anything todo with an imobiliser if you have one? just a thought yes i do have an imobiliser.. the light flashes when its activated and doesnt go out when i put the key into the ignition? maybe is not deactivating now ive put a new engine wiring loom on it.. could this be the reason w...

check for any free play by moving the wheels side to side and up and down, if the ball joints are worn this creates a knocking noise...

i have a tech 2 316i its nice but very underpowered... so putting a m20 325 engine in it :twisted: but like cloud said 6 cylinders have a strong thirst for petroleum :(

yup connected the earth strap.. saying that i had the engine bay painted before i put the new engine in so will grind the paint off where i connected the strap just to make sure i got a good earth..
