knocking front suspension
recently ive noticed it, so i jacked up car and gave the wheel a wobble and it knocks (not a wheel bearing) with the steering lock on, theres a bit of left/right movement that you can feel. can also hear and feel it when driving along, mainly on crap roads around oxford...its annoying the hell out o...

Im not too up to date on the laws meself, but if your worried, just ring the rozzers and get them to simplify it for you. its not a crime to ask. just tell them you've got your license and A-frame or whatever - is it legal? Heyoh, since i changed the radiator on my iS, it hasnt ever been properly getting up to temperature, even when sitting at 80 on a motorway for an hour! not going to do anyone any favours surely? so i went to change the thermostat today (now) and was just wondering, how do u get the bloody thing out?...

I have to say, i dont think ive seen you in Smallsbury before, but that is in Hudson's yer? I got a very similar lookin IS on MIM's 1900s, (complete with a dent) if youve seen it rollin around?

Fuel smell
Ive noticed the smell of fuel recently after a long trip or two inside the car, not so noticable outside. any particular fuel pipes i should check? load of petrol somehow bloody vanished aswell!!!

ta very much guys. its now on mim 1900s, which imo i prefer. like the dish on them... will get a pic up once the weathers good/have camera.the mim's need a refurb - was plannin on spraying the centres and spokes diamond schwartz and leavin outers polished. anyone else done this? Well, at long last...i have it back. got it all together the other day, only to find out that both cv joints on the driveshaft were far past buggered, so had to wait till i get another! got it all sorted tho, and is lookin nice on the mim's.

Thats got it! just me being a spanner instead of using one properly! Righty, now thats done, i have found another problem. the propshaft doesnt seem quite long enough? the four connecting bolts are just out of reach from the diff pinion flange. the diff's all mounted properly in the four points and ...

hmm...not sure wether this is a good thing or not...my diff just wont line up with it.its on the front 2 mounting and the main chassis one, but the two middle mount are bout 8mm out. any ideas?

Back to the top! Ive been completely inundated with work the entire bloody week, so only just got round to doing some more! however, ive found the end of propshaft where it attaches to the diff to be in the way :( any way to get around this? or is it gonna be have to taken off at the centre section....

Well, tis a 318is. only got it recently :( i think a lot of it is the fact i used to own a go cart, which would do pretty much anything (mini cooper) so the step probably wasnt the best.the mini also had some shithot yokos on it. the iS has some crappy ones aswell.so mistake. live and learn. but its...

right, got the diff out, everything is disconnected, got the bottom mount bolts off.last thing is the torx bolts on the side, except theyre bein a bitch...just bending my allen keys...hmmph.sprayed a load of wd40 on them nd will try tm.if that dont work, case of drilling them out??anything else i ne...
